In addition to developing a water electrolyzer with lunar surface specifications,

we will apply the air conditioning technology we have cultivated together with ispace to collect water resources that are said to exist on the lunar surface, "Thermal Mining".

We will take on the challenge of building a "Moon Ecosystem" for the energy use of water resources on the moon.

Although these are ambitious goals, we will set them as a medium- to long-term vision and contribute to the construction of a sustainable lunar economic zone.

About the Lunar ecosystem

To create a lunar economic zone, it is necessary to build a lunar ecosystem that utilizes the resources that exist on the moon.

First of all, it is indispensable to build a system to use the water resources existing on the moon as energy.

In order to use hydrogen and oxygen on the lunar surface, not only the technology of electrolysis of water, but also the technology of liquefaction, storage, and supply of hydrogen and oxygen are required.

To that end, we are working with ispace to collaborate with various companies, aiming to build a water resource collection and hydrogen/oxygen supply system for the construction of a lunar ecosystem.

The full moon day of Waso is a very holy day for Buddhists.
This year, 2020, it will fall on 3 August.

The full moon day is called Dhammacakka Day because our Lord Buddha preached his very first sermon “Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta” on the full moon day of Waso (Saturday) in the year 103 of Maha Sakarit.

To commemorate the Buddha’s first sermon, Buddhists customarily perform meritorious deeds such as offering donations, observing moral precepts, reciting the Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta and paying obeisance to Buddha’s images on that full moon day.

Coming full moon day of Waso is a mark the beginning of Buddhist Lent, taking three months until Thadingyunt Full Moon Day (the Light Festival).

During Buddhist Lent, monks (members of Sangha) go into rainy season retreats and avoid travel.

A significant and meritorious deed for Buddhists in Waso is to offer robes to the monks for use during Lent.

The robes offered to monks in the month of Waso are called Waso robes. No weddings, feasts, or festivals are celebrated during Buddhist Lent, and people try to follow the Five Precepts more conscientiously.
