You know those moments when the sun shines on your partner and you can’t help but smile because they look so beautiful? Perhaps it’s while the softly slept or maybe when they drink their morning coffee. Whatever time of day it is, make sure you absorb that moment like you absorb the sun rays — Don’t let it pass you.

We haven’t really posted here because our individual lives needed to come first recently. While we are one beautiful team, we are also individuals. We’ve been taking time to find the ray of sunshine when it’s our own face we see.

If you’re in a relationship, find those rays in your partner but also in yourself.

1, 2, or 3?

These photos are from two years ago; January 2020. The upheaval and chaos of COVID created the perfect storm for our relationship.

Here we are, 2 1/2 years into our relationship, practically to the dot.
Let us be honest. There were times we didn’t feel we were going to stay together and there were times when we loved each other so much there was no doubt we’d be together for forever.

Relationships aren’t linear. They grow, get damaged, heal, and go back into reverse. Linear isn’t reality, and that’s not sad, it’s the truth ✨

Our journey starts soon. Well—it’s rebeginning! We will be living on the go, in between, couches/floors/beds, and more.

So where are we going? Let’s start the discussion. We’re asking for friends to reach out if they have housing available while we journey on our way.

Cities we need housing in:
-somewhere outside of the Schengen zone end of June/mid July
-Spain
-italy (Sicily, Rome, Venice, etc).
-the Netherlands (Amsterdam, etc.)
-Belgium

SAMM'S TATTOO STORY #3:
This story is probably one of the most simplest stories of her tattoos. See the animal print on Samm's right hip (if you were in her position)? That's a deer hoof. When Samm moved to Wisconsin she was 7 years old and happy about the future possibilities. Let's fast forward about nine years to the time when Samm got her first tattoo (a bird with her initials). You can't see this tattoo anymore because the deer hoof is covering it. Why cover her first tattoo? It just didn't fit the person she had become. So in order to celebrate her development she decided to cover the tattoo with a deer hoof. Deers are one of her favorite animals and it's probably because she saw them so frequently in Wisconsin; they represent freedom, beauty, and fragility to her. It's slightly tilted on her body because this is a hoof to remind her that her journey is not linear; she may do circles before she progresses forward but the important thing is she keeps track of who she is and where she came from.

We've been at our new apartment for a little over a month now and we're loving it; the natural light, the sunrise in the morning, the open space, and the list goes on. It's also perfect for morning acroyoga on the bed when we've got a photoshoot

SAMM'S TATTOO STORY:
On her left forearm she was a saying tattooed from her favorite band in her best friends hand writing. It goes, "the years go fast and the days go so slow." This saying resonates with her because it's exactly how she feels about life in general. Sometimes we focus on a long day but overall the years are passing quicker than we realize.

To be honest, Samm can be pretty high maintenance when it comes to drink/food (for those who go out with her, yes, this is the part where you giggle at her for having three or four drinks at once).

Yet, on the days where we get to settle in with each other, we'll fix whatever we have in our cupboards to avoid leaving the home. It's really rare for us to have a full day off so when it comes, we take -- we don't want to say advantage -- but perhaps full use of our home time! Dancing in the morning, cooking whatever we can find, playing with the kitten, training in the evening, cuddling in the night...

Ale can't stand being cold and Samm, well, she lived in Wisconsin for about 15 years. As the holidays get closer we're celebrating being warm in our beds here in the Caribbean but we're also super happy to be doing another small travel again and we can't wait to see part of our family.

SAMM'S TATTOO STORY #2:
On Samm's left shoulder is what most think is a ribbon at first glance. Upon actually discovery that it's a man's face, people always ask if she drew if. The answer? No; M.C. Escher did. However, this "ribbon," which is a man's face unwinding like the rind of an orange, was tattooed at the same time as her mom's was. We both have the same beautiful piece of artwork on our bodies now -- we're art itself.

We're kicking off our busy holiday time with a week of photoshoots. Samm will be modeling and Ale will be shooting at .vacations. Haven't heard of it? Check it out!

December is a crazy month for everyone so as it starts to get a little more chaotic, find yourself taking an extra breath before you dive into your task. Give your lungs time to expand, absorbing all that it can before you recycle and repeat your actions.

Basking here together, we ask ourselves is the warmth from each other or the sun slowly falling behind the disappearing jungle?

We have a special love for Tulum but we've seen it change (mind you, Samm for only a year). It's crazy what a surge of tourism can do to an area. Is it good? Partly. Is it bad? Partly. Everything good has something bad and Tulum is no different. A lot of you have been hearing about Tulum, Mexico; it's either paradise or infamous for the recent shootings.
