The public screening of 'SEARCHING FOR SOUL' will be happening this Saturday! This documentary takes a closer look at Kuala Lumpur alongside Kyojima in Sumida City, Tokyo, through conversations and interviews with the people in it.

The film is rated U and is suitable for all ages.

昨天无本透过脸书分享Yasmin Ahmad的新年广告《My Son》，虽然友人看过了，但重新观看的时候还是触动到她，眼湿湿的。

今天抽出时间，上网观看所有Yasmin Ahmad的过年广告，包括Hari Raya的《Plastic Bowl》，还有Deepavali的《Mutusamy Karupiah》等。

Yasmin Ahmad真的很利害，透过观察，把我们生活上的日常，在短短的1-2分钟内，让我们对生活上那些不起眼的琐事产生情感，反应了我们的行为，从而影响我们。

真的很感恩马来西亚有Yasmin Ahmad，虽然她离世了，但她的作品依然在我们心中，就算每年有数以百计的新年广告涌出，不管多么华丽，技术多么先进，我们依然会被Yasmin Ahmad这些看起来很简单很朴素的内容所感动。

好的作品，就算过了很久很久，依然被世人留念，永远无法被取代。

Yasmin Ahmad是一位马来西亚知名电影导演、编剧和广告创意总监。她曾在吉隆坡李奥贝纳广告公司担任广告导演二十多年，其电视广告和电影作品因其幽默、鼓舞和关于跨越文化差异的爱而在马来西亚广为人知。虽然是马来导演，她的电影却获得华人观众青睐和喜爱，电影中各族文化水乳交融地结合，浓厚人物色彩让人产生共鸣。她的处女作Rabun以自己的父母为蓝本，讲述老夫老妻彼此扶持的感人爱情。第二部影Sepet是马来女子和华人男子的异国纯爱物语，以英文、广东话、国语、闽南语展现大马多元种族特色，以及不同文化对爱情的冲击；电影不仅让她扬名海外，更造就让马来人和华人在电影院观赏同一部电影的奇迹。2009年7月25日，Yasmin Ahmad因中风脑溢血病逝于吉隆坡当地医院，享年51岁。
