William Lee's final journey, hundreds of people present bid farewell

Hundreds of people lined the streets of Chen Kong Toh Association, Seremban to send off the honorable National Chairman of Malaysian Elite Disaster Rescue Foundation (MEDRF), Datuk Dr. Lee Woon Long (William Lee) on his last journey.

He died at 5.00 am on Friday due to a cancerous illness he suffered for three weeks.

His coffin was brought to the Sendayan Memorial Fairy Park, Negeri Sembilan in the final journey.

People began gathering as early as 8.00 am to give their last respects and accompany the late William Lee.

Present at the sama time leadership of the MEDRF National and branch levels of Negeri Sembilan, Selangor and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur expresses condolences to Datin Chin Hui Fung and his family for losing his beloved husband.

MEDRF honoured William by celebrating his accomplishments and realising his aspirations for his caliber, leadership and integrity.

For those who don't know him, William lived a remarkable life, one that inspired MEDRF greatly.

His adventurous attitude, his broad range of interests in helping those in need of help and his happy demeanor made him a wonderful person to know. He was easy to approach, patient, and generous with his time and affection.

He was philosophical in his approach to life. He especially had a great perspective when it came to the little things, never displaying anger or impatience. Instead, he showed a great dignity and humor.

He extended this philosophy no matter what obstacle he faced. MEDRF have always admired the strength of his character showed even in criticism.

We'll miss the news of his adventures, and miss the stories from the seven continents he visited.

We'll miss his perspective and his gentle humor and the surprising depth and scope of his knowledge. MEDRF will treasure his memory forever.

May his soul and the souls of all the departed faithful by God’s mercy rest in peace.
