Low Bee Cheng and Ng Lai Kin at the Inception Meeting, New Delhi. Presentations and interesting activities.

On 2 March 2024, KLASS from KL paid us a visit. We shared interesting ideas and also learned a lot from them.

Christine Low and Ng Lai Kin are attending the Inception Meeting of the Consortium to Advance Access to new HIV Prevention Products in New Delhi from 11 to 14 March 2024.

FHDA Chair Yeap MC and Dr Kalai attended the Penang Refugee Coordination Group Meeting on 11 March at Komtar chaired by YB Lim Siew Khim.

- Children wth heightened risks & domestic violence among communities
- Social cohesion and threats of evictions

- Resumption of refugee medical insurance

The 2nd batch of trainees from Institut Latihan KKM, Alor Setar paid us a visit to learn more about our HIV/AIDS programmes. They found the session enlightening and some said inspiring! They also dropped by FHDA Batu Uban.

FHDA held a fruitful discussion with the Malaysian Care team during their visit on 20 Feb 2024. We shared each other's activities and spoke on areas of future collaboration.

MAF/MAC team led by its ED, En Jasmin Jalil paid us a visit. Many issues were discussed including our future programmes, challenges faced by PPK and the handover of the FORD Transit van. They also dropped by FHDA Batu Uban. Overall, it was a very fruitful visit.

Penang FDHA would like to wish Gong Xi Fa Chai to all who celebrate Chinese New Year and may the year of the Dragon bring to all an abundance of prosperity, good health, happiness and peace.

FHDA Kg Kolam has relocated to Batu Uban.3 Feb 2024 was the official opening. Members, volunteers and well wishers attended the event.
FHDA Kg Kolam has witnessed many firsts - first NGO to provide family planning services, first to run night STI/HIV screening for the marginalised, first to offer PreP/ PEP in the northern region.
Among some events held were: World Population Day, Cancer Awareness and HPV Awareness Campaigns, International Women's Day, Hari Raya/Christmas celebrations even dental screening!
FHDA Batu Uban will continue our legacy of serving the community with love.

Today marks the last day FHDA is open at Kg Kolam. For nearly six decades, we have served clients in fp, family health matters and counselling within this heritage enclave. 12 members, volunteers and staff came to say goodbye. Our legacy continues at 566-X Batu Uban.

Rev Woon presented cash and uniform vouchers to our clients of 14 families comprising 13 children. FHDA also received a donation. Programme was initiated by Sally of Persatuan Pembela Wanita. Thank you so much for the much needed aid, especially at the beginning of the year.
