One of the benefits of breastfeeding is the bond it creates between you and your baby. So lovely to see.

Here are foods that can help you keep the milk flowing to your baby. Though there's no one single food that enhance breastmilk production, some might help. But a balanced diet will normally make sure your body has enough energy to produce breastmilk for your baby all through the lactation period.

☑️ Almonds - available at most supermarkets
☑️ Other nuts and seeds - you can get them at the market and malls
☑️ Chicken - especially boiled
☑️ Cereals - like granola

Also, avoid taking excess vitamin c supplements.

It's not about drinking vinegars or stuffing yourself with pills and supplements while neglecting your food choices and habits that you burn fat.

Here's the thing...

If the number of calories you eat is more than the number of calories your body uses, you gain weight.

Conversely, if the number of calories you eat is less than the number of calories your body uses, you shed weight. Do this over a period of time, with patience, and you have your desired weight.

Reflect on the week.....did you eat this or anything close?

Overconsumption of highly processed foods over a period have been linked to so many illnesses and conditions; from high cholesterol to blood pressure, stroke to tooth decay. And the list goes on. That's because those foods tend to contain a number of other things not beneficial to your health.

One step you can take to prevent most disease conditions is to control how many times you eat foods that have been industrially processed. If you eat such foods daily, you can reduce it to thrice a week, twice, once, & occasionally.

Cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, skin infections, stroke, and others are not conditions for the old - they only progressed over time in the body. Don't fall for it by neglecting your nutrition now that you're young. In fact, many older adults I have counselled wish they knew the importance of nutrition early on.

We all want the same things, have you noticed?
We all want to:
Be healthy
Make more money through a better job or business
Be fit (most people want to be slimmer)
Look younger
Be impressive in bed
Live long
Not ever to work again
Spend more time with our families
Enjoy all the luxury of life

But then, we also know what we have to do to achieve those things. Yet we don't do them.
For instance, everyone knows too much sugar is bad for them & will disturb their health in the long term. But we just can't stay away from our favorite ice cream for a week.

This month, like me, resolve to put to use the knowledge you currently have.

If you need to be stricter with your diet, do it.
If you need to start an exercise program, do it.
If you need to send me a message for solution, do it 🤸

Remember that if it is to be, it is up to YOU.

Are there enough nutrients in your diet?
It's one thing to eat, it's another to be getting the nutrients you need to maintain your health.
Your nutrition is fundamental to your health program. Everything else will not work without it.
So while we eat so many things each day, the real concern is, are there enough nutrients?
Is your skin thanking you?
Your eyes? Other organs?
How about your reproductive health, your hormones?
Are infections not letting you rest? Your immune system won't just fight off diseases?
Are your bones happy? Your nerves, joints?
Does your body even let you perform as you would like to? Or is your libido crawling?

The nutrients in the foods you eat is central to all that. So here's the question again, are you getting enough nutrients in your diet?

Do you know that you don't need to eat red meat, especially beef in high amounts?

There's growing scientific evidence of the link between high consumption of red meat & heart disease.

Beef, pork, lamb, goat are all common forms of red meat. So anytime you hear of red meat, you don't have to guess about it anymore. You now know what it is.

For the sake of maintaining your health, you can start by eating a little less of it each week. Chicken, eggs, and fish are healthy options, & can be alternatives most times. There's hardly any food you want to cook with red meat that you can't substitute for.

If you currently consume red meat four to five times a week, why not try reducing it to two-three times? And if you do it twice a week, you can try consuming it occasionally. A little less of it here and there is a great way to start.
