" Thank you" Zoey said when she dropped out of the taxi and paid the taxi driver.

She made her way into the school. she was dumbstruck when she saw how big the school was.

A lot if students were outside. she saw some people playing table tennis at the table tennis court while others were strolling around.

Some sat down and we're gisting with friends while the serious ones were busy reading their books.



"What am I going to do now?" She mused. "I know no one here". She added.
She saw a guy coming so she stopped him.

" Umm excuse me"
The young guy halted " yes"
"Sorry. I just came and ...."

" What faculty?". He rudely interrupted

"Law, Faculty of Law". She replied

" It's over there". He pointed at the D.O.S office and walked away without listening to what Zoey had to say.

"Rude" Zoey said " but thanks"

She sighed and started walking to the D.O.S office.

After introducing herself, the D.O.S welcomed her " welcome to our school, Zoey"

"Thank you, Sir". She smiled

" Do you know your class?".

Zoey just shook her head.

Mr Phillips stood up "please follow me".

She smiled and started following him to where so ever he was taking her to.

When they arrived at the class they both walked in.

Zoey's heart skipped a beat when she saw the large number of people in the class. All eyes were on her she felt like the ground should just open and swallow her.

"Zoey please have a seat".

"Thank you sir". she said calmly.

Mr Phillips walked out of the class.

Zoey's heart was beating because some people were looking at her.

Her eyes went straight to the seat which was in front. she quickly walked to the seat and sat down.

Few minutes pasted.

"hey this is my seat". The lady who just walked in said said to Zoey.

Zoey looked at the lady and said. "Ohh, I'm so sorry". Zoey stood up. She turned to see if there was an empty seat.

Yes, there was an empty seats behind but a lot of guys were over there. You won't feel comfortable sitting in the midst of men.

Zoey really had no idea of what to do and what not to do.

A lecturer walked in, everyone look for his or her square root. They all took their seats, except for Zoey who had no idea of what to do and what not to do.

" hey,". The lecturer said to Zoey

"why are you still standing. didn't you see when I walked in or you've gone blind?"


Zoey looked at the lecturer.
"Sir, I.... I......actually don't have...."

"Just shut up". He yelled. Why are you speaking as if I am your boyfriend?".

On hearing that, the whole class bursted into laughter.

Zoey brought down her head. The embarrassment was much.

"If you are going to talk, go straight forward and stop putting on an act. I don't look like your boyfriend."

" Sir... I, I don't have a seat". she managed to say.

" So all this while you've been sitting on the floor?".

"No sir I just resumed"

" Well, you not having a seat is not my fault. you didn't resume the first day you were supposed to". The lecturer said.

The lecturer saw the empty seat which was behind. " Is that not a seat, or you've truly gone blind?".

The whole class bursted into laughter again, except for those who were not good at mocking others.

Zoey looked at the seat again, she looked at the guys who were there. They were about seven in number.

"Madam what is your problem?". The lecturer yelled. " will you go and sit and stop wasting my time. stop admiring the seat. It is not a human"

To to avoid more trouble, Zoey quietly walk to the seat and sit down.

" So where did we stop in our last class?".

When the lecturer was done with his class, he picked his belongings and walked out of the class.

It was now time for the students to go get some fresh air outside. Everyone except Zoey walked out of the class .

Zoey brought out her book and started reading.

A lady walked into the class to get something. When she saw Zoey, she remembered how Mr. Ken the lecturer embarrassed her the other time. So she decided to walk to her (Zoey).

" Hey".
Zoey raised up her head to see who it was.
" Hi". Zoey replied
"I'm sorry about the other time. That's how that lecturer behaves".

Zoey smiled " No, it's fine"

So what's your name. I'm Cortney Ray and you?". She gave Zoey her hand.

Zoey also gave her her hand " I'm Zoey, Zoey Del Sol". The both exchanged hand shakes.

" Nice meeting you, Zoey".
Zoey smiled " you too, Cortney"

" Won't you like to join us outside?".

" Umm... I'm sorry, but I can't"

" Okay it's fine. I'll see you later"

Cortney ran out of the class immediately she picked what she came to pick".

🌹🌹 Chapter one🌹🌹

When Zoey was done taking her bath, she quickly dressed up for school and walked down stairs. Her sister Stacy was already awake, she was arranging the dinning.

" Good morning Stacy". Zoey said as she walked to Stacy
"I thought you weren't gonna wake up". Stacy said.
" C'mon at Least answer my greetings"
Stacy sighed. She pulled out and seat to sit. " Good morning, Zoey" she took her seat.

" I thought you weren't gonna answer". Zoey also pulled out a chair and sat down.

" What about Dawn? ".
" I'm here". Dawn replied from afar. She quietly walked to the dinning. " Good morning all". She uttered. " Zoey, what's up?".
"I'm good". Zoey replied

" Zoey, about yesterday..." Dawn couldn't complete her words because Stacy cut her off.

" Hey, hey. It's not the time for this. You both should keep quiet and eat. Look at the time. Zoey I guess you do not want to appear late on your first day at school right?. And you, Dawn just shut up"

" Okay it's fine". Dawn said.

Zoey was asked to bless the meal, which she did. They all ate, happily.

Stacy is the eldest and also known as the mother of the house. She's 25 years old. She has been the one taking good care of the family eversince their parents died. She also works as a receptionist at 'Dee Don's restaurant".

Dawn. Dawn is the second child. She's 21 years old. She also help in providing for the needs of the family. She's a secretary, working at the 'PiPers' company.

" Zoey. Zoey the last child. She's 18 years old. So Stubborn, brave and intelligent. She was given scholarship into one of the biggest University in town, simply because she was so so intelligent.

Their late father, Mr Del Sol was a driver, working for the PiPer's. He was involved in a terrible accident and he died.

Their late mum, Mrs Del Sol got seriously sick and died one Sunday morning.

The Piper's decided to help Mr Del Sol's family since he was once their worker.


The three ladies (Stacy, Dawn and Zoey)learnt how to leave peacefully with each other.

Zoey and Dawn always obeyed Stacy and took her as their mum, though she was their sister.

" Zoey eat, you're going to be late" Stacy complained.

" I'm done". Dawn said as she stood up, she came closer to Stacy and gave her a peck on the cheek. She also did the same to Zoey " bye". She picked her bag and walked away.
