When Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola in a telephone interview, was asked by the radio presenter, "Sir what can you remember made you a happiest man in life?"

Femi said:
"I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness."

The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness I wanted.

Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realised that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long.

Then came the third stage of getting big projects. That was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia. But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined.

The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchair for some disabled children. Just about 200 kids.

At the friend's request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs.

But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with him.

There I gave these wheel chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun.

It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot where they are sharing a jackpot winning.

I felt REAL joy inside me. When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs. I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly.

I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else?

The answer this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my attitude to life completely. This child said:
"I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognise you and thank you once again."

What would you be remembered for after you leave that office or place?

Will anyone desire to see your face again where it all matters?

POWER OF THE MIND

He was very sick.

His friends took him to the hospital.

He was admitted and the doctor advised him to run series of tests including HIV to ascertain what the problem was.

Malaria and typhoid tests came back positive that same day.

While they were expecting the other test results, the doctor started treating malaria and typhoid.

As he was recovering very fast, the HIV test result came and it was also positive.

The doctor broke the news to him.

He was devastated and broken.

Within hours, all his body systems broke down.

He couldn't eat and he couldn't sleep.

Within one week, he emaciated seriously to the extent he couldn't walk by himself again.

Then something dramatic happened after two weeks.

The lab discovered that they made a mistake with the results.

They had swapped his sample with another person's own.

He is HIV - negative.

The doctor got the news and summon the courage to break the news to the patient.

*Doctor:* Sir, we are sorry

*Patient:* For what doctor?

*Doctor:* There was a mistake with your blood sample submitted for the HIV test.

*Patient:* What do you mean doctor?

*Doctor:* They discovered you are HIV - negative.

*Patient:* What! Are you serious, doctor?

*Doctor:* Yes sir! We are very sorry.

The guy that couldn't walk for days, jumped out of the bed and started running around the ward in excitement.

Everyone in the hospital was shocked at the scene.

What happened?

What changed?

Where did the strength come from?

Most times when we walk into big malls, boutiques, supermarkets, we never question their prices. We pay exactly what we see on the price tags and even hand out tips to the staff.

But the moment we are out of these shops and want to buy banana, our bargaining game gets off to the roof.

Poor widow with 12 hungry children at home tells you banana is N100. She even takes out her time to explain how difficult it was for her to even buy it, how the economy is so tough. But we insist that if it's not N50, we are not paying.

Some of us even step back into our cars and make to drive away. But because 'half bread is better than chin chin', this woman is forced to call you back and sell to you at little or no gain.

In her heart, she cries, she's worried about how she'll survive with her children. She silently reassures herself that 'It's well. God will definitely provide.''

While you happily chop the luscious banana. Take some seconds out and think about this.

I'm always moved to tears when I see people who genuinely and helplessly hawk petty goods to feed and survive for that day, especially women and children.

Please don't bargain hard with small vendors like this. They do business not to buy designer bags, trendy phones and watches, Gucci shoes and designer clothes but to LIVE and EAT for that day and the children share the remaining money to take to school the next day (that's if there's any left).

A PRAYER FOR FAMILY HELPERS.

To everyone out there who bear the financial burdens of your family, for you who is the reason your sisters are not forced into house helps without education, for you whose hustling pays your siblings' school fees, puts food on the family table, gets called by everyone anytime there's a need, for you who is the reason your family has a decent house, can walk with some dignity and has hope of a better tomorrow, I pray for you:

May the burdens you bear never break you, may the problems you solve never exhaust your resources, may God increase you, keep you in good health of mind and body and open new doors for you. You carry the glory of your family as of Isa 22:23, may you overcome all obstacles as you uplift your family.
Upon you I declare 1Kgs 17:14: "your jar of meal shall not be spent, your jug of oil shall not run dry, until your siblings are established, in the name of Jesus Christ.

O God, may every family never lack at least that someone through whom light shines for others, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

*FAINTING OR SLUMPING IN THE BATHROOM,*

*🖑 What is the cause?*

☝ We always hear of people who have stroke after a fall in the bath.
🖑 Why have we not heard of falling elsewhere?
👊 When I took part in a healthy lifestyle course, a National Sports Council Professor, who also participated in the course, advised that:
👉 the head should not be washed first in the process of taking a bath (even washing of the hair).
👉 other parts of the body should be cleaned first.
🖑 This is because when the head is wet and cold, blood will flow to the head to warm it up.
👉 If the blood vessels have narrowed, it is likely to cause the blood vessels to rupture.
🖑 Since it usually happens in the bathroom, be sure to raise the awareness to avoid this happening again.

*CORRECT PROCESS OF BATH TAKING:*
👉 Start the wetness from the sole of the foot.
👉 Progress to the Small legs, the thigh, abdomen and then shoulder.
🖑 At this point, pause for 5-10 seconds.
👉 A feeling like steam/wind overflowing from the body may be observed; and then take a shower as usual.

*✅ WISDOM:*
☝ When a glass is filled with hot water, and then suddenly emptied and filled with cold water; what happens?
👉 The glass will burst💥!!!
🚿 Then, with regards to the human body, what happens?
🖑 Naturally, the body temperature is very hot, whereas the water is very cold,
👉 a cold shower on the body or the head directly would suddenly trap the wind, or deaden it, because the blood vessels got broken.

🖑 Oh, this is why people often suddenly fall over in the bathroom; due to wrong bathing method. And that often causes a stroke or causes a migraine.

*ADVICE:*
🚿This bathing method is suitable for all ages, especially those with Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and Migraine/Headache.

I was coming back from work in a public bus. There was a slow traffic.

A little boy selling sachet water tried to cross to the other side to sell sachet water to some people in a vehicle.

He missed his step and fell down breaking his plastic basin, throwing all the sachet water away and some bursting in the process.

People along the road started shouting "you nor dey look where you dey go?"

Some Nigerians are always quick to judge and blame instead of sympathy.

The boy had his head bow in sadness trying to gather the remaining sachet water.

The people who wanted to buy had gone without sympathy. The boy was not more than 13 years... I can imagine the condition of the family that made them send out a boy that young to the highway to sell in order for the family to survive... LIFE!!!!!

I asked the woman sitting close to me in the bus how much is a bag of sachet water... she said about 250 Naira but she is not sure.

I paid the conductor N500 and he gave me N300 change.

I called the boy, he came to my window and I gave him N200.

The woman sitting close to me gave him N200.

The man sitting close to the door stretched his hand across me and the woman and gave him N500.

The lady sitting close to the driver gave him N200

The man at the front seat called him over, gave him 2000 Naira and told him to go home.

The little boy Thanked us, picked his broken basin maybe as an evidence to his mother and left.

I tried not to cry... I am happy I started a motion.

My late father told me,
"If you go watch a masquerade dancing and you want people to clap... start clapping and cheering, people might call you crazy, but some would follow you!"

We might not be able to change the world, but we can change the life of one person.

Start the change you want to see let others follow.

CASH-FREE WAYS TO SUPPORT GOOD CAUSES.

We all want to make the world a better place, by giving to the less Privileged. Sometimes you really want to give, but you don't have the financial capacity to assist.

There are other alternatives to monetary donations.

1. Give Blood - If you are physically healthy, donating blood is a zero-cost way to help others. And blood isn’t the only life-saving substance you can contribute. Plasma is another vital fluid, used for everything from heart surgery to treatments for cancer patients.

2. Perform Chores - Do you know an elderly person or someone in poor health? You can make out time to help them.

3. Donate skills to people willing to learn but cannot afford to pay for it

4. Pray - We all know people with problems. Do we pray for them? We should!

5. Donate materials - you don't have to wait till your clothes and shoes are worn out before giving them out. You can give some to people who can't afford good clothes.

Etc

Try some of these many ways to still be a generous giver when you don't have cash to give.

Borrow Yourself Sense😇

The Rate at which People Just die all of a Sudden is becoming alarming.
Most Nigerians know that we are in a period of frustrations;

Depressions, confusion, terror and the likes. All these increase the risk of high blood pressure.

Which also lead to heart Failure or attack. And of course, we expect sudden death. Which is now rampant.

Please, move away from being.. provoked easily; by your children,
friends, colleagues, superiors,
subordinates, partners, husbands and wives.

Avoid reacting to things aggressively. Isolate yourself from disturbances, avoid too much thinking;

When there is no money, or food at home. Just stay cool and calm. Avoid exchange of words with people at home, markets, offices, etc.

Always check your BP,
take your drugs, follow instructions,
and exercise. Go to see your doctor immediately if you feel changes in your body. Especially your chest.

Stay in peace, and never fight anyone. Your health is far better than any worldly thing.

Beware of transferred aggression.
Stay alive for yourself, stay alive for your family. Stay alive for your glorious tomorrow.

We only have one life to live. Stay alive for me, you may help me tomorrow. Don't die before your time

*Don't Meditate on the Little Disappointments*

Deep hurt doesn't just come from huge disappointments, like when we fail to get the job or promotion we really wanted. Deep emotional hurt can come from a series of minor annoyances and frustrations. That's why we must know how to handle the small, daily disappointments and keep them in perspective.

When you focus on something continually, it's called meditation. The little frustrations that come up every day are annoying on their own, but when they pile up, it almost seems impossible to meditate on anything else.

But instead of concentrating on your problems and getting discouraged, focus on God and meditate on His promises for you. Life might get you down, but you don't have to stay down. God is ready, willing and able to pick you up.

When disappointment weighs on you, you can either let it press you down, or you can use it as a stepping-stone to better things. Choose to face disappointment at its onset by meditating on God's ways. He has better things for you, and He will help you defeat disappointment. *Amen*
