It is the International Day of the Girl Child and we are projecting some of the major challenges faced by the girl child globally.
While these issues outlined above are specific to girls and women, addressing them will positively impact everyone.
What other issues do you think are affecting the Girl Child in your community?
What solutions would you recommend?
Since 2000, for nearly two decades, the world had been making steady progress in reducing child labour. But over the past few years, conflicts, crises and the COVID-19 pandemic, have plunged more families into poverty – and forced millions more children into child labour. Economic growth has not been sufficient, nor inclusive enough, to relieve the pressure that too many families and communities feel and that makes them resort to child labour. Today, 160 million children are still engaged in child labour. That is almost one in ten children worldwide.
Wondering how to stop Child Labour, here's how:
▪︎ Review national laws regarding child labour.
▪︎ Refer to your buyers' requirements.
▪︎ Check the age of your employees.
▪︎ Identify hazardous work.
▪︎ Carry out workplace risk assessment.
▪︎ Stop hiring children below the minimum age as house servants and shop assistants. STOP!!!
▪︎Discourage people from employing children and Remove children from hazardous work.
▪︎ Report any case of child labour to the nearest police station or child services.
▪︎ Provide support to children found in child labour.
▪︎ Spread awareness TO END CHILD LABOUR.

Menstrual Care is an issue that pertains not only to girls and women, but to men as well. The stigmatization of menstruation is still a thing in some places of the world today.
Girls and Women are continuously taught not to speak about it in public and men are taught not to interfere in women's issue..
At The Hopeful Foundation, we are much concerned about conversations like this, that revolve about menstruation and menstrual hygiene.
THF would be running a menstrual care campaign week, and we need your help in filling a Questionnaire Form. Please click the link on our bio to answer the questionnaire.
The knowledge you provide us through this questionnaire would help us in educating others about menstrual care and would also be very useful in our research and data development.
Kindly Help Us Make The World A Better Place.
We are excited to launch our Back to School Campaign (Volume 2) for 1500 school children in Côte d’Ivoire. For more information on how to make a donation, kindly send us a DM.
Welcome to March!
The International Day of the Girl Child focuses attention on the challenges faced by the girl and promote fulfillment of their human rights.
Statistics reports about 2.2 billion people below age 25 still do not have access to internet and girls are most likely to be cut off. Despite the pandemic bridging the digital gap, disadvantaged children are still suffering from that gap, girls in particular are less likely to have access to digital knowledge and devices.
Join us as we close this digital gap and create more opportunities for girls.
