Dear Haruki Murakami,

When I first read 'Kakfa on the Shore' I didn't understand it. For a while, I thought it was just me who could not comprehend the book. By the time I finished the book, I was frustrated because it just didn't make any sense. But I could not stop thinking about Kafka Tamura and his journey by bus, the time he spent in the library. I read the book in 2016 and these scenes are still vivid in my head. I then read 'Norwegian Wood' 'Sputnik Sweetheart' and 'IQ84' The end was always the same. The ending, the story and the elements none of it made sense but I guess that's the best thing about your work. I don't know how you do it. I can't place your books under a genre or narrate the story of any one of it. Your work has always been about emotions. The dull life with its complicated feelings and the truths we seek. Last year, I read 'Killing Commendatore'. It was a long one but I completed it in two days because I wanted to figure out who was Commendatore and where did he come from? But as usual, you have never been the one with the answers. This time, I wasn't frustrated because somehow I knew what was coming. I have spent days reading about your life, your writing journey, your routine and I found a piece of you in every character you have written. Well, on your birthday, I just want to thank you for taking up writing at a late age. I want to tell you how much I admire your writing style and that I am looking forward to more books.
