Wij, vrienden en sympatisanten, willen graag jullie aandacht voor Rita van Royal Roots Corner en de manier waarop zij per 1 okt door de gemeente op straat gezet dreigt te worden als sociaal ondernemer. De nood is hoog en support is nodig!

Wat is er aan de hand?

Drie jaar geleden werd zij met haar vegan African Soulfood + kledingzaak + gemeenschapshuis voor Afro Carribean Diaspora cultuur en erfgoed door de gemeente Rotterdam ‘gebrancheerd’ op de Beijerlandselaan in Rotterdam Zuid. Dat wil zeggen dat zij als ondernemer voor nieuw elan moest zorgen bij de herontwikkeling van de Beijerlandselaan tot winkelstraat Boulevard Zuid.

Hoe kun jij helpen?

Teken dan de petitie waarin we oproepen:

-Dat de gemeente in gesprek gaat over een oplossing die recht doet aan de inzet en betrokkenheid van Rita en Royal Roots Corner in Hillesluis

-Dat de gemeente de echte waardemakers van de wijk gaat koesteren en ondersteunen.

Due to our organizations of a festival and school projects in the Gambia, we wanted to inform you that our Kitchen at Royal Roots Corner will be temporarily closed from April 9th until April 23th. The shop stays open!
We’re taking this time to develop great community work and unity.👥✨ As we will enjoy the incredible performance by Black Omolo and many other artist that will be coming together at Mama Land Unity festival we will also take the moments to recharge and come back with lots of positive and renewed energy💫
