📢An update on the renovation of Scheveningen boulevard!📢

The renewal of the boulevard is clearly visible. This week a new building phase starts. The contractor will work on the sections from the Kurhaus towards Fairytale Sculptures by the Sea. The boulevard, beach and businesses will remain accessible.

✅ Good to know:
💬 You can still walk on the boulevard
💬 Restaurants and attractions are accessible
💬 You can get to the beach via stairs or a ramp at the Seinpostduin and Pier
💬 The walkways will close in the winter for safety reasons
💬 The boulevard will have a nice autumn and winter programme

Remember: it's obligatory to clean up any dog p**p 💩 everywhere in The Hague. Even on the beach.

A fresh start to the week! Or were you unable to catch enough Z's 😴 because your mattress needs to be replaced? The maybe it's time for a new one.

🛌🏿 Residents of The Hague can make an appointment to have their old mattress picked up at their home for free. Or they can take it to a waste depot. Mattresses which are still in 1 piece will be recycled if the outer layer is not damaged. Who knows - maybe your old mattress will be used as a surface for a playground 🛝 around the corner!

What a fantastic day yesterday during the Tour de France Femmes in The Hague! 🌟 The atmosphere was great, with a sea of yellow fans along the route.

Did you enjoy yourself? The sports festivities will continue! This evening the 2024 Beach Volleyball European Championships start on the Sport Beach in Scheveningen. The matches will be held from 13 to 18 August. 🏐 Come out and watch and enjoy even more top-level sports at the sea. 🌊

❗Please note! Most of the PMD containers in the Escamp district have been replaced or removed.

You no longer have to separate plastic packaging, metal packaging and drink cartons (PMD). You are now allowed to put it together with your regular household waste 🚮. The waste management company will separate the PMD from the household waste at a later moment.

There will be no change to the rules for separating paper/carton, textiles, glass and organic waste (GFT).

Have you ever stepped in a fresh pile of dog p**p? What a crappy feeling 💩! Dog fouling is the most offensive type of litter on our streets. That's why this clean start to the week is dedicated to a p**p-free city.

Leaving pet p**p on the sidewalk is not only bad manners, it's also potentially infectious. In all parts of The Hague you are obliged to clean up after your pet 🐶. Can't be bothered to stick to the rules? You risk getting a fine of 150 euros 💰!

On 4 May we commemorate the victims of the Second World War. 🕊️ Including the victims of war situations and peacekeeping operations in which the Netherlands has taken part since the Second World War. There are commemoration ceremonies all day at different spots in the city, including the National Children’s Memorial Service in front of Madurodam.
