Today the Toddlers at Mill Road enjoyed reading books together. They were sharing their ideas and developing their literacy skills!
At Charles Prevost our nga tamariki love being creative with their drawing skills.
It's reading on the menu this afternoon in the Infants Room! The children enjoy looking at the pictures, identifying familiar objects and naming them to their teachers and peers. They are strengthening their communication skills and developing their confidence to share their ideas.

The children in the Pukeko Room enjoyed making their own Koru art last week which they have proudly displayed on the wall in their classroom!

The Toddlers at the Mill Road Centre were busy constructing and making habitats for the animals last week. They were learning to work together and listen to each other's ideas.

At The Gardens Early Childhood Education we love to create inviting learning opportunities - tower building is not only great fun but develops the children's balance and hand eye coordination.
We were kindly gifted lemons by one of our whanau today. We are incredibly blessed that we all look after each other here at Hill Road ☺️
The children in the PTK room at the Mill Road centre have been constructing houses with different materials as part of their exploration of The Three Little Pigs story. They have been testing them for strength and seeing if they could keep the Big Bad Wolf out!
Today at Charles Prevost our Nga tamariki extended their transportation interest and enjoyed the rainy day playing with these alphabet trains!
Our infants are loving their baby doll play today at Hill Road.

The children in the PTK room at the Mill Road centre have been busy this morning, making flowers using cups and paint. They are very proud of their creations!
Yesterday the children at our Mill Road centre went on an excursion to Alfriston School where we celebrated bike day as part of our Olympic Games celebrations! The children had so much fun riding their bikes with their friends!
Today at Charles Prevost the children had a WHEELS DAY to support the Paris Olympics 2024. There are a lot of budding champions at The Gardens Early Childhood Education!
Over the past week at The Gardens Mill Road Centre we have been celebrating The Olympic Games. The Toddler's room made a torch and took it and flags on a parade around the centre. You can see the torch proudly displayed outside the Toddler's room by the classroom door!
This morning the children in the PTK room at Mill Road had lots of fun racing their cars around a race track we had drawn on the carpet. We extended this interest by painting a race track on the lino for the children to use after morning tea.
Today at Charles Prevost we welcomed a very exciting guest, Samoan Rugby Sevens player Alamanda Motuga. Alamanda is one of our whanau and we were so proud to see him play in the Paris Olympics 2024!
Our tamariki enjoyed the wonderful opportunity to share in the Olympics sport experience!
