With the easter break over, I'm sure we're all suffering from a big of chocolate fatigue! We've put together some tips to ensure your teeth don't get permanently effected by the overload of sugar you may have consumed during the long weekend..

1) Opt for dark chocolate (70% cocoa) for fewer sugars and more antioxidants, it's much better for your teeth.
2) Enjoy chocolate as dessert after meals to minimise sugar exposure, reducing your risk of tooth decay.
3) Maintain oral hygiene: brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, wait 30 mins after chocolate as your enamel will still be abit weak, floss, use mouthwash, chew sugar-free gum.
4) Drink water post-chocolate to wash away residue, increase saliva flow, and neutralise sugar acids, benefiting your overall health.
5) Schedule a hygienist appointment to get a really deep clean.
