Flash Floods have hit the Ghor province of Afghanistan, killing 50 people, it's been a month of nonstop Flash Floods across the country.

In Baghlan province over 700 had been reported killed and 80,000 displaced with 20,000 homes being destroyed in a single day.

Our team at Revive Afghanistan managed to provide initial support to those impacted in Baghlan, but with such a large displacement a lot more help is needed.

Families did not have water either, Alhamdulillah we provided families with large packs of Food and large Non-Food Item kits (NFI)

🚨 Emergency Flood Relief

6 days of heavy rain have created flash floods that impacted 20 out of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan.

Almost every province in Afghanistan has been impacted.

Initial reports indicate 2600 homes have been damaged/destroyed, hundreds injured, over 1500 families have been impacted and 70 people have lost their lives in the floods.

Afghanistan is one of the least equipped countries when it comes to a climate crisis due to decades of conflict and lack of investment by our governments.

Due to the lack of international media coverage and the withdrawal of many NGOs, Afghanistan is left alone when it comes to these natural disasters.

Revive Afghanistan will be providing relief aid to those impacted and will assess the need based on areas most impacted.

We have 2 emergency packs we provide in response to disasters, and it depends on what the families need.

These packs cost $100-200 and will help a family in need, however any amount helps.

Auckland leg-spinner Rahman Hekmat has been withdrawn from the New Zealand Under 19 World Cup squad due to a lumbar bone stress injury sustained during training.
