📢 DoxyPEP (doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis) is a new tool to prevent syphilis and chlamydia (though importantly, not gonorrhoea).
It involves taking 2 pills (or 200mg) of doxycycline within 72 hours after s*xual activity, and has shown to reduce the chances of acquiring syphilis by 70-80% and chlamydia by 70-90%. For more info, head to:

Undetectable = Untransmittable. In other words, a person living with HIV on treatment, with an undetectable viral load has ZERO RISK of transmitting HIV to a s*xual partner. 👊
PEP is the morning after pill for HIV. You’ve got 72 hours after unprotected s*x to get yourself protected. If you believe you’ve been exposed to HIV, contact your GP/Sexual Health Clinic/Hospital Emergency Department as SOON as possible (must be within 72 hours). …In other words, if you’re under 27, you’re eligible for the HPV vaccine! Many AFAB people and cis women received the HPV vaccine in school, while men unfortunately missed out. But, the good news is, the funded HPV vaccine is now available for ALL genders under 27 years old.
(Sorry millennials, you have to pay for it 😭) Book your vaccine here: https://bookmyvaccine.health.nz
BUT, whatever you do, don’t DP your dose! 💊💊 There’s no harm in missing a day here and there, but if it keeps happening - maybe try getting a pill organiser, or setting up a daily alarm.
