Action-packed playoff for 3rd and 4th at the water polo finals (South Island Champs) today. The pupils were amazing and just missed out on third in the penalty shoot-out! Thanks Greer for all the care you have put into this team over the weekend

Super proud to hear that these two past DNI students were the top two academic students at OBHS this year - Tom Hayman (Dux) and Ben Richards (Proxime Accessit). Ben was also named a Class Act recipient this year. Awesome!

In the last week of Term 4, Nikau was part of the New Zealand team who competed in the WWA World Wakeboarding championships on the Gold Coast.

Despite trying conditions, Nikau placed 3rd in the U14 Boys division. Awesome!

Over the holidays Olivia represented Dunedin at the New Zealand Underwater Hockey nationals in Wellington, and was one of the youngest players.

She played as striker in the tournament and was incredibly determined. Her team came 7th out of 9 in the C grade division, but they played so well, were excellent sports and got so much good experience.

Reminder - on tonight at DNI

Super proud of these students too!

🌟 What an incredible act of kindness! 🌟

Samir, Saharat, and Icon, who describe themselves as “Three kids from Dunedin North Intermediate,” decided to raise money for the Dunedin Night Shelter as part of their learning on Peace & Conflict this term. With the support of their teacher, Elizabeth Rudd, they organised a collection at Gardens New World.

Their goal was to raise $250 to help those experiencing homelessness, but they exceeded all expectations and raised over $500! 👏

We are so grateful for these three young men and their amazing contribution. Thank you for making a difference! 💙✨

Zara O (from Rm 10) represented Dunedin North Intermediate at the Skullcandy National Primary and Intermediate Surfing Championships in Gisborne on the weekend.

She surfed 3 round robin heats and then won the final of the Year 7 and 8 girls division. She is stoked... and so are we for her!

Great news to start the holidays.

These wee DNI stars did an amazing job of independently organising themselves to compete in Robocup in Auckland. They were a little disappointed not to go further, but they have definitely gained so much learned a lot in the whole process and have come away inspired with new ideas for next year!
Huge thanks to Drew for all the extra time and effort he put in to coaching the boys and getting them all sorted.
