BLOG: Recovery Room Scam - Lost money in a scam? Don’t fall for this common tactic
If you've lost a considerable sum of money to a scam, you could become the target of a recovery room scam.
Fraudsters on the internet will approach you and offer to help you recover the money you lost. They will pose as someone trustworthy – like a fraud investigator from a bank, or a recovery specialist. In reality, these are scammers are trying to get more money from you or extract your sensitive information which they can use for another scam later.

Toilet card
Finding a toilet when out and about can be a challenge for people with bladder or bowel problems. It could even discourage some people from going out altogether.
Continence New Zealand issue a toilet card clearly that states that the holder has a medical condition and needs to use a toilet quickly. Most places you visit will be willing to help you.

Continence NZ- Free Incontinence Help Continence NZ was established to provide a service to people with continence problems, caregivers, health professionals and the general public by providing information and education on continence topics.
We’re changing garden plots and you can pick up some free ex-bedding plants from Tahuna Park (35 Victoria Rd) on Wednesday, 23 October (weather dependant).
The selection of plants, from the Roslyn roundabout, comprise poppies, polyanthus and pansies.
Plants will be available (on a first-come, first-served basis) from inside the main gate at Tahuna Park from 10.30am onwards.
Please bring a maximum of one shopping bag or box per person so there’s enough to go around. The quality of the plants may vary.
There is no vehicle access at the site but there is nearby on-street parking.

Heavy rain is set to continue throughout today (Friday 4/10). We are encouraging people to stay home if they can, and to continue exercising caution if needing to get out this morning.
If you feel unsafe, we currently have two welfare centres set up for people to head to:

RUBBISH COLLECTIONS:
🗑️ If it is safe to do so, kerbside collections in the St Kilda and St Clair hill suburbs will continue as normal.
🗑️ If your bin is not emptied, please bring it in by 7pm.
🗑️ The Sawyers Bay pop up transfer station for Saturday, 5 October is postponed.

WATER:
💧All flood water should be treated as contaminated. Please keep out and away from all flood and river water.
💧 West Harbour and Peninsula residents are being told to conserve water. Tanks are on the way to supply residents with drinking water, they should bring their own containers to fill.
TOILETS:
🚽 Municipal Restrooms are closed all day.
🚽 If you are under a water conservation notice, do not flush unless needed.
