Keeping up with social media is like trying to keep up with a TikTok dance—especially when you’ve got “boomer tendencies” like mine. I’m definitely not “down with the trends.”

My day is split 50/50: half working, half chauffeuring our kids to dance lessons and managing their expensive schedules. Oh, and let’s not forget the whopping 17 minutes of sleep we get each day, thanks to Sydney’s brain running a marathon at 1 am which is not unlike her mother’s. Creativity after 9 am? Yeah, not happening.

But hey, I’m not here to whine—I’m here to say hi 👋 and give a big shoutout to our growing Perc family and amazing customers!

Four weeks ago, we opened and let me tell you, she’s a beauty! Sure, she’s still a work in progress but aren’t we all? If you haven’t swung by yet come on down and meet the team. We’re thrilled to have incredible people working with us.

So now we’re back to three locations, which is probably a sign that my mental health is... let’s say, “adventurous” 🫠.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s stuck with Central despite the roadworks trying to turn it into an obstacle course. Your support means the world to us!

Then there’s the solid team and 5 minute parking , it’s like Cheers where everybody not only knows your name but also your coffee order!

I’m beyond proud of the culture we’ve built at Perc, and it’s all thanks to you. Because of your support, we can keep growing.

Oh, and back to trends, I know I’m a bit late to the strawberry matcha party but we’re diving in! And holy heck, now I get why these drinks cost a small fortune. Matcha better come with superpowers or something because this s**t is expensive.

Our friends Hannah and Damian from are coming down to broadcast their show from Perc Plaza from 7am-9am!

We have heaps of giveaways throughout the show are giving us a , have some merch, Anchor have dropped us boxes of calci yum to hand out

I will be here heading out free hugs and yarns so come and hang.

It’s a soft opening so we won’t have our menu on straight away but have our banging beans on the grind out delicious baking and a cabinet filled with treats.

My gorg gals have set up the kids station and Charlotte is holding a colouring competition so bring your small humans down after school.

Also waffle fries….gosh I love a waffle fry and Anji said we can do karaage on waffles next week and I almost died. Ok slight exaggeration but I’m super pumped, so pumped I went to the supermarket and bought them out of kewpie mayo…..

The Perc Plaza

It’s a thing in three sleeps or if you’re me three not sleeps!

Today we hired the missing piece to our puzzle and tomorrow we set up. If you are floating round Wednesday pop your head in to say hi or come in full force Thursday, we would love to see you all there.

I’m really excited/nervous for this new chapter, in full Sarah and Patrick form everything seems very last minute but with 100% support from both our mums and our incredible Perc fam we seem to be getting it all together!

After much boomer activity I have managed to throw together a new instagram page, bloody hard when it was connected to an email address I haven’t operated for 5ish years but after two rose and a takeaway call out I’m there.

Soo if you squint your eyes, forget how sore your back is and how tired you are then peer through the perspex you might experience a brief memory of being small, and standing on your toes to see through the windows at Moana Pool.

I know it seems strange but that’s what I felt when they put this wall up outside our Stuart Street cafe.

At least three more months of diggers and noise for us but you can bring your small people down for a hot chocolate and a cookie or have a wee peek yourself and remember what it was like to be excited about this stuff before it ruined your day because you couldn’t park out front on your way to work to get your morning brew.

Not related but absolutely loving Trent Daltons new book Lola in the mirror courtesy of Harls and Paulita for my birthday and thankfully the new read in the first ever book club I have been part of that actually reads books! and I know this will be completely and utterly controversial but what the heck do you all see in Bridgerton!!! I’m on my fourth attempt to enjoy it but I just don’t get the hype but I really want to be able to water cooler chat this s**t with you guys!! Send help.

What a weekend! So great to be full and stressed again, it’s why we hospo 😎

We need 1 - 2 maybe even 3 new kitchen staff, you don’t need to have fancy credentials we want experience and team player attitudes. Sounds stupid but honestly we have had the “I’m the bees knees knows everything chef” and it ain’t our vibe.

Start dates range from ASAP Rocky to four weeks, show us yours and we work with you.

In other news, the book and tv reviews you never asked for……..

Just read ‘The Women’ not going to lie she was a slow burner and then I ate her like peanut slab , would recommend. As for shows, can you beat Jake Gyllenhaal on a cold July night…….Roadhouse was amazing but Presumed Innocent on Apple TV……I’m all about it. Happy Sunday lovers ♥️
