Push the rewind button back to 1888 and some significant milestones occurred: the construction of the Eiffel Tower and the year Bacchus Wine Bar and Restaurant building was established.

Bacchus Winebar and Restaurant are looking for a duty manager and waitstaff.

Bacchus Winebar and Restaurant is the longest established restaurant in Dunedin, having been operating for 29 years. We offer a premier dining experience, with a focus on fine cuisine and sourcing wines to match.

The role.

You’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding service and amazing food and wine, with energy.

About you.

You’ll be outgoing, with serious hustle and be able to handle some heat in the kitchen.

You’ll need experience in hospitality, a true passion for the industry and be able to pass on your knowledge and enthusiasm to others.

The nitty gritty.

The ideal candidate will have:

•A sound knowledge of restaurant operation overall operation
•A good knowledge of POS till systems.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Experience managing and leading a team to deliver results.
•An ability to work well under pressure.
•An understanding of great customer service and a desire to deliver this all the time.
•Relevant industry experience.
•Duty Managers Certificate and License Controller Qualification (LCQ) essential for Duty Manager role.


Remuneration will depend on experience. Available for immediate start.

We have decided to continue to offer Bacchus at yours through level 2, as well as our dine in service!

Normal hours have now resumed for dine in. Lunch dinning Monday-Friday, and evening dining Monday-Saturday

Bacchus at yours will be available for pick up between 5.00pm and 7.30pm Monday through Saturday
