It's Men's Health week. Men's participation in primary healthcare is low. Some of the common nutrition issues are low fruit and vege intake, high alcohol consumption and limited awareness of what is good nutrition. With less than 7% dietitians in NZ identifying as male it is challenging to ensure we engage men and boys in healthcare. In private practice its important that we offer a comfortable and inclusive environment including flexible clinic hours, and tailor intervention towards the male view. We need to advocate for men to access healthcare through promotions such as Men's health week.

What is pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy(PERT)? Pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy is capsules that replace the enzymes that your pancreas would normally make. These help you to digest your food by breaking down carbohydrates, fats and proteins in your food.
