Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club senior, Craig Treneman was drawn out for the Dealers Jackpot for a chance to pick the hidden joker.

He picked the Joker and took home the jackpotted $1314 cash. Congratulations Craig.

The Handle Club draw has jackpoted to $80 tonight. The winner must be there to win or it jackpots.

Tonight, we welcome our new Saturday Membership Draw sponsor, Gun City + Fishing Napier. As with all membership draws, we’ll start at $300 and there will be some giveaways to mark them coming onboard.

The Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club new 2024/2025 financial year started on July 1st 2024. This is our 60th year in existence and we will celebrate this event this coming November.

Our existing members are renewing their memberships and these are coming in thick and fast and is also an ideal opportunity for new members to come onboard and join us.

Another full club tonight with the Warriors at 5pm and the ABs at 7pm and the final Saturday night draw of the Pro Seal Ltd membership draw.

On a sunny Hawkes Bay Winter’s Day, our wharf by the weighshed got swept and hosed down after last week’s huge waves dumped seabed rocks and debris on to it.

Just a heads up about this coming Thursday 4th July (tomorrow) Quiz Night, brought to you by our Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club Entertainment committee.

It will start at 6.30pm and is $5 per person. All prize money will be made up from the entry money and can be paid at the bar when you arrive.

Teams must be made up of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8. Please book your team name in advance to me on this number, 021 577 905 as we are limited to 12 tables. Some have booked already.

There will be 6 rounds with 10 questions in each. We will have a break at the end of 3 rounds. You will be able to gain extra points by picking a Joker round and there will be a Who Am I? clue after each round.

Get your thinking caps on and come join us.

Over the weekend at the Winter Tuna Tournament hosted by Whakatane Sportfishing Club, Nathan Bath, skipper of On The Run picked up the 4th Heaviest Tuna cheque.

Another big Friday-I mean Thursday night at Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club. After the Autotech Members Draw wasn’t struck, $1000 was put up as a ‘Must Go’.

After many draws, Murray Rigby was finally drawn out.

All the names were put back in the barrel for the Hunting & Fishing Guns & Tackle Napier $950 draw. Sophie Jones was drawn and was there to receive the cash.

Dan, Rachel and Ella were on the raffles and broke a long standing record with 27 sold.
