Congrats to Team India Captain Kyle, Byron, Connor and Max all taking out their first title.

BYC 16 was a great day. Tequila may have to be looked at in future years tho as the sloppiness levels were off the charts some couldn't stand others were on a good level and others seemed fairly sober.

Unfortunately tho a number of personal things were taken from the hosts house. This is a guy whose let many of us enjoy the day and night at his house for many years so doesn't deserve to be out of pocket. It's not what this tournament is about and it threatens to derail the event in years to come after 16 years.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas what an absolute scorcher!!! Forecast tomorrow looking like a comfortable 22 degrees.

Jesse has been working hard to prepare the RCG and its looking emaculate. Thanks to those who have transferred money every one else either transfer tonight or bring $25 cash to 21 Downing Ave. Meet time 10am. Big barrel opens 930am bring a Chilly bin and Ice to store your drinks.

We will have time to have a bit of a warm up. And go over the rules and looking to get the first match under way no later than 11am.

Great BYC draft the other day. Some of us kicked on pretty hard in preparation for the 27th. Some clear favorites as always but you never know on the day.

After a few of the boys went to Ozy to take on the WCGs finest it's back to the genuine swing balls and one hand one bounce NZ rules. Thanks to Wh**ey, Brendan and the crew for the hospitality.

Righto you know the drill if you are keen for a good day out on the 27th Banter, Beers and BYC. Please comment available on the post. Preference given to past players from the last 15 tournaments. And then any spare spots will be made up from the Rookie class of 2023. So get commenting and tagging asap.

Merry Christmas BYC Whanau! We are all set for the 15th Napier BYC Invitational tomorrow the 27th at Ryder Park. 21 Downing Ave where the pitch is in pristine condition. Meet at 930am. Try and get dropped off if possible.

Reminder teams must have a uniform some were sorting today. Penalty for no uniform is a tequila shot per player prior to each game.

$25 Per player entry fee covers the Tequilla Equipment and Food. Please bring correct amount of cash or transfer to the account in the previous post.

Bring a Chilly Bin with Ice some alcoholic drinks and some water. Weather is looking good so we are all on for a big day! Win or lose bring a good attitude there can be only one winning team. Some are gunning for their 5th Championship some have never had a championship it's all about having a good day out, some banter and some beers with the Boys!

The 24 have been confirmed for the 15th annual Napier BYC Invitational. This is to be held at the RCG (21 Downing Ave) on December 27th meeting time 930am.

Bring your own Ice, Chilly Bins (Kyle bring your Esky) and a decent amount of drinks for the day.

Cost of entry is $25 can deposit into this account

Entry covers balls, spray paint, tape, tequila shots (for dropped catches and ducks) and remainder will be spent on 2 feeds during the day.

We will be going live on FB for the draft at approximately 330pm today. Anyone whose keen to be there we will meet at the station bar at 3pm.

Once draft is complete we will post up teams and Logan Stranger Danger will sort a draw and then teams organise uniforms for the day.

We are 5 sleeps away from the best BYC tournament in New Zealand. The 15th Edition of the Napier BYC invitational at the RCG (Ryder Cricket Ground) the new home of BYC hosting its 5th tournament

Due to a few controversial no shows from the old Mr BYC Tamati Kemp and former CEO and now silent partner Shane Lui we have been rallying to get a few rookies. The Rookie class of 2022 will be a strong one and we look forward to a new chapter and creating some more BYC history on the 27th.

We are currently at 23 players and want to confirm a 24th overnight so we can do a live draft tomorrow. If there is anyone still keen first in best dressed. Must be a past player out there with an itch for BYC and would be great to see a Mcfarland there....

It's been a while between drinks but it's not December in Napier without the Napier BYC Invitational tournament.

This year is the Tournaments 15th Edition. The Beers will be flowing, the boys will be barred up, the banter will be questionable and the Napier BYC brotherhood will live on.

When the dust settled after NBYCI14 which was the best yet! only one team woke up very sore, very hungover but with a winners grin. The Veterans of the Melbourne Renegades! Ignoring the obvious distractions and underdog tag Australasian BYC MVP Jimmy Calder along with The Whyte Brothers and first time tournament winner Gaz punched above and took out the title on a very hot day at the Ryder Cricket Ground.

Once again we give tribute to NZ outdoor and indoor legend Jesse Ryder for putting his place up for this year's tournament.

The date hasn't changed for 15th years its the 27th of December. Start time TBC but its early morning. No need to register on Crichq It's fairly simple from here if you have played before and are keen to get amongst it again just comment on the post. Any new comers who are keen will take any available spots but OGz get automatic entry. More details to come but let's get the ball rolling and let us know your availability asap. Live draft tentatively to take place on December 22nd at the Station Bar but Official details around that will follow. So get amongst it! Well Lads here we are again. After a great committee meeting last night that went until 4am we sorted our 24 BYC primed athletes ready for a great day on the 27th. Once again we went to the power of the draw and it certainly threw out some interesting teams.

ICYMI it's a Big Bash theme this year. Meeting time for the 27th is 10am where we will cut and roll the pitch, put some cardboard on the windows and go over the rules. $25 entry fee per person which will cover the cost of balls tape paint tequila for Timmy and 2 feeds during the day. Everyone needs to bring their own alcohol and a team Chilly bin or Esky as it is the Australian BBL Napier BYC styles.

Well Lads, here we go again!!! The end of another year is near which means 1 important thing it must be Napier BYC time!!!🏏🍻🥃🏆

With Christmas day fast approaching which the committee have renamed BYC eve eve it means we are less than 2 weeks out from one of the best days of the year where we meet old friends, enjoy a few to many beverages, form new alliances and just enjoy a good day out with the boys playing some backyard cricket.

There will be highs and lows like 2021 but be sure come the 27th of December we will drown out any sorrows and have a great day out!

It will be the 14th running of this prestigious invitational event which started off at Kennedy road and is rumoured to return there for the 20th edition. It's another chance for a new group of semi pro Yardies to etch their names in Napier BYC folklore.

After initially saying he was out and after a BYC13 campaign he would rather forget about (and probably can't remember 🤤🤪🙄) a Napier BYC legend and former Ozy stalwart has been given approval from Aunty Cindy and he will be crossing the Auckland border to take part in the event. Wouldn't be a Napier BYC without the infamous Tamati Kemp aka Bernie. Welcome home Champ.
