Chef wanted! We are a busy cafe located in the heart of the city, surrounded by popular shops, famous Art Deco buildings, and other popular tourist destinations. This is a part-time position, on commencement days will generally be Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Job Duties

1. Food preparation. Produce quality food for the cafe cabinet or to orders.
2. Employs food safety best practices.
3. Chooses ingredients and designs special dishes based on seasonal availability of food items and trends.
4. Place purchase orders for ingredients
5. Work closely with the head chef and management to make sure a smooth day-to-day workflow in the kitchen.
6. Work closely with FOH staff to provide an outstanding customer dining experience.
6. Kitchen cleaning and stock-taking.

Requirements

1. Cookery-related qualification.
2. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
3. Good communication and team-working skills.
4. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Honest, reliable, and able to keep providing consistently high-quality food.
