We have sorted the last of the teething problems and we are rearing to go.

We want to say a huge thank you to all of you for continuing to show us all the love and support in the world. We are SOOO excited to see all of your faces at 8am TOMORROW!

We've had lots of DM's about catering, so just a reminder, we are still offering catering until our new shop is open.

We are super lucky to have The Old Mill as our catering kitchen until we are back in our own space.

We are excited to finally reveal our branding change!

While The Urban Deli has been a big part of our journey and story, we have decided that with a new space, we wanted to create a fresh start with a brand that more accurately reflects the essence of 'us'.

Since Beccah purchased the deli, she has long been wanting to put her stamp on the business she has so lovingly dedicated years of hard work to and essentially turned into a space that the name 'Urban Deli' no longer suits.

A cherished nickname that was given to her as a child, 'Flossie' would quickly form part of her identity, and remain a nostalgic part of who she is today.

The name 'Flossie's Urban Eatery' reflects this change in ownership, and that we have now moved away from being a deli and are now an eatery.

The Facebook Gods have unfortunately decided they would not grant us permission to change the name of this page 😂🤦‍♀️ (no matter how hard we tried!), so we have decided that in keeping with the fresh start, we would create a new page.

Please LIKE + FOLLOW Flossie's Urban Eatery as all updates from next week will be posted there 😁

CATERING UPDATE!

If you just can't wait until our new shop opens, you can now order our food online!

All orders will be available to pick up on Thursdays at 8 Hyderabad Road (unless arranged with management) between 3pm and 5pm, and must be placed before 12pm on Wednesdays.

It's all go around here as we are getting ready to make the move into Urban Deli Uptown Food Store's new space with them on Hastings Street.

Announcement coming tomorrow!

We are so excited to have access to our new store on the 23rd of September to start prepping for our opening date in October.

We will also have a date for our catering license in the next couple of days so we will be able to give you all an update on taking catering orders soon!

WE HAVE A DATE!

Lock in October 17th for our new space to be up and running. It's so good to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

We've unfortunately had a bit of a hiccup with our catering license so this has again caused us yet another unforeseen delay!

We apologize for this and the hold up in being able to offer you catering however we will provide an update soon and a date for our reopening.

We're excited to announce we will be going through a rebrand very soon and will be moving locations.

WE will be moving into Urban Deli Uptown Food Store new space with them so you can shop and eat all in one spot!

Calling all Urban Deli lovers!

We will be taking catering orders from NEXT THURSDAY.
So if you just can't wait until we are open we will be able to provide you with the goods while you wait!

Details to come early next week on how to place orders and which orders will be able to be accepted (e.g. not a solo muffin😅).

We understand the frustration around the delay in our re-opening, we also feel frustrated, but we wanted to reassure you that we are doing the best we can.

Cyclone Gabrielle has impacted many businesses, ourselves included on a scale we won't compare with others.

We have stayed active on social media to keep you in the loop as much as possible as well as remind you that we are not going anywhere.

We will be up and running for catering on Thursdays shortly but we also wanted to remind you that we are still able to take catering orders for events as usual - with notice.

There are many amazing businesses around the CBD and we hope you are supporting those cafe's until we return 🫶
