It's Mexican Monday! And we have a fiesta of flavours combinations for you to choose from.

Last year we set off on our annual Zam Vision Trip with our hunger relief partner
to see the impact our Plate 4 Plate initiative is making in local communities across Johannesburg, South Africa.
This moment was captured when we arrived at the first Early Childhood Development centre (ECD) named Place of Hope in Gauteng. We had the privilege of witnessing the full impact of the Zambrero Plate 4 Plate initiative delivered by Rise Against Hunger. We could see that the kids were (now) happy, healthy, and smiling but this wasn't always the case before these children entered the ECD program they had struggled with mal nutrition, stunted growth, loneliness and learning disabilities. This program incentivises parents by providing education and a warm cooked meal for their child.
Place of Hope also maintains a thriving vegetable garden and 300 laying hens. Half of the produce is utilised to nourish the children in their own ECD and 6 more in their local network. The other half is sold at wholesale prices to local vendors, generating the required income to sustain the operation. The project not only provides nutrition for the children but also adds to the local economy by creating a stream of produce that can be traded. Local businesses within the community benefit too.
The Plate 4 Plate Program is more than simply donating meals - it helps build sustainable communities.
