Introducing Jessica Davies. Miss Jessie, as the children know her, specialises in pre-school and junior dance classes at LGS Dance.

Jessica has been passionate about dancing since childhood. She was taught by Lynn Gilbert-Smith and went on to pursue her love of dance and drama through performing arts school, which saw her tour the length and breadth of the country.

Jessica has worked in dance studios here in New Zealand and in Hong Kong. Jessica’s experience includes teaching jazz, ballet, hip hop, tap and drama. She has a unique ability to translate her love of dancing into her students and she has a magical connection with the pre school and pre grade dancers.

Is your child inspired to dance? LGS Dance are now accepting enrolments in pre-school (from 2.5 years) dance classes for the 2022 school year. Classes are held weekly on Tuesdays commencing February 8th.

Introducing Alannah Matthews. Alannah teaches ballet, jazz and musical theatre at LGS Dance and is also a teacher/choreographer for competitions and stage performance.

Alannah danced with LGS Dance from the age of 3 until she was 19, learning ballet, Jazz, contemporary and Lyrical. She attended the Wellington Performing Arts Centre graduating with a diploma in commercial dance.

Alannah has performed both nationally and internationally. On her return to New Zealand nine years ago she picked up where she left off tutoring all genres at LGS Dance. Alannah has a wonderful passion that she shares with her students.

Alannah is very involved with the New Plymouth Operatic Society and is excited to be choreographing their upcoming 2022 production of Matilda.
