Porirua City Council is currently reviewing their Local Alcohol Policy (LAP) and Alcohol control bylaw, and we need to hear from our community.
Currently they are in the research phase of the review and are gathering information on how alcohol affects our community. We are very keen to listen to and work with our communities to get a better understanding of the impacts of alcohol in Porirua.
We have a survey available that we hope provides social service providers the opportunity to share their thoughts on this kaupapa without taking up too much of your valuable time.
The survey is available here: https://haveyoursay.poriruacity.govt.nz/embeds/projects/92351/survey-tools/104604 The Survey will close on the 22nd of August. 🥰

Celebrating the special bond between Nepal and Aotearoa, this event highlighted the historic ascent of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953. It was a beautiful testament to the strong partnership between our nations and a heartfelt tribute to our Nepalese community.
There was also a wonderful speech by Kiwi, Mark Inglis, who has climbed Mount Everest and persevered as a double amputee. What incredible resilience you have Mr. Inglis! You are an inspiration to all of us.
