"I am a rural nurse working at a Nurse led clinic. I have been seeing Leah for almost a year now. I first started seeing Leah as I was having a few issues in both my personal and working life. I feel like I am a different person now. I have gained great eating and lifestyle habits which has made a lasting impression on my weight

Self awareness includes focussing on how you feel when you behave in ways you want to outgrow and regret.

Perspective 🙊🙉🙈

Great to see so much discussion on yesterday. Are you able to hear someone who needs to be heard? Are you OK? Are you aware of what ailing mental health looks, sounds, and feels like for you? Are you able to deal with the real and take responsibility? Who stands to benefit? Who, or what, will you need to let go of to create the movement necessary to heal and grow? Who, or what, do you need to surround yourself with?

Why nutritional psychiatry is the future of mental health treatment 07/10/2019

Science, and the medical model, is becoming increasingly aware of the positive impact of using nutritional approaches to mental health and, are encouraging their peers to support and research this new field of treatment. As a long time advocate for holistic approaches to wellbeing, nutrition has always been a key feature of my work in health coaching. What can you do today to improve the availability of essential and beneficial nutrients for physiological wellbeing? Check out this great article below!

Why nutritional psychiatry is the future of mental health treatment A growing body of scientific evidence is making clear the connection between good nutrition and good mental health.

The human hard drive can be a mystery alright 🕵️‍♀️

Own self worth, or be owned. Police your own stuff, not everyone else's. In the end, we perpetuate socially constructed prisons based on what others' think or, we bolster a sense of purpose towards unique, contextual, strong values that leave little room for unhelpful or toxic cultures.

What are you doing to help you? 🤔

15/09/2019

Resilience. Build it. Believe in it.

Goal Setting 101.

Believe it. Take the steps. Do the things.

Our insecurities often drive us to seek comfort over objectivity and hard work. However, what gives temporary comfort does not eliminate the compassion and courage necessary to do what is right, for ourselves and for others. 'Easy Street' more often than not boomerangs back to us to cause more grief than was necessary. Making and living out the tough choices breeds resilience and authenticity of character. Ask yourself: what am I really afraid of? Rejection? Disapproval? Rage? Judgement? Abandonment? Being wrong? Is that worth the self esteem born of living your values? Is that worth your sense of self determination? Ultimately, will you regret this? Fodda for thought guys ...

To coddiwomple or not to coddiwomple ... that is the question!

14/08/2019

Anxiety 101.

05/08/2019

The accuracy! What drives assumption, though? Ego is a huge tributary to how we react to stimuli, and drives the 'truths' we come to, rational or irrational. Ego is not objective. Ego seeks pathways to be right or have a moral high ground. Ego is a poor listener, which renders its host a poor communicator. Ego is fragile, which means confrontation of any type induces a defensive, reactive, response designed to protect fractured self worth. Ego is blind to any information which challenges a position where the host is required to self-check. Ego is all about me, and will break out the victim card when it wishes to deflect problematic thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that hurt others. Ego, is a poor security blanket and, ultimately renders its host anxious and unable to think critically or learn from mistakes. Ego, therefore, when un-checked and out-of-control, contributes to mental ill health via anxiety and a reduced capacity to learn and grow. Nobody is beyond being wrong. Develop the self worth necessary to be OK with correction, to learn versus become bitter, and watch your world change! 🦋

Is it actually that you want to be magazine thin? Or, is it that you want to feel validated, accepted, liked, loved, safe, and confident?

That 'slim' has been socially constructed as the gold standard of human-ness means we are often blinded to the possibility of a reality where all these feels can exist as we are. Dealing with the deep, core, issues that have you believe you are not worthy is the only true key.

Have a think on it.

How will you manifest this opportunity?

16/07/2019

Exactly! 😁

Yes.

The tough stuff is character defining. Think about that for a moment ... L x

27/06/2019

Learn from the past, it is a fabulous teacher, but don't dwell there. Use the past to make your present and future better by focussing on what you have and who you are now, your positive goals and aspirations, and the people that matter. We manifest what we prioritise. L x

23/06/2019

Yes. It is quite probable that if you find yourself making negative, overly critical, and unnecessary comments about others, that it is time to look inwards.

16/06/2019

Accept, and move on.

13/06/2019

Ego. Hell of a drug.

09/06/2019

You matter. More than you know, you matter.

So true. Being teachable is everything.

21/05/2019

The problem with saying yes to doing stuff you don't like with people who aren't good for you is you end up angry too. Your values are your compass. L x

16/05/2019

Yes. In what ways do you let your people know they are not alone? That you care? That they matter? 🤔
