Although it may be the end of an era, We have definitely found some forever friends in our Kuikui team! We thank all of our regulars, customers, suppliers, Whānau & friends for the fun nights we have had over the last two and a half years. Not the ending we envisioned when setting out on this bar owner journey but we’re good with making the right business decision however hard.

Long post ahead: It’s been a wild ride. Kuikui Lane started as an idea to create a space for sharing ideas, challenging convos and going somewhere you could feel taken care of - much like nans whare.
With that enjoying the best Aotearoa has to offer in the Gin world. Stocking only NZ sourced gins and all top shelf liquor brands. We are proud of the menu and drink designs we have made at Kuikui Lane - from our original mixologists Ronnie and Jess as well as Lena who’s been working with us since opening in 2021.

We have made the tough decision to close the bar. With the ongoing construction, tough hospitality game in Wellington and rising business costs we can’t keep up. It’s been a wild ride, with so many learnings, relationships and beatings along the way 🤣. We are proud of the space we created but must take the learnings and move on.
