Thanks to Victoria University of Wellington and Japan Information & Cultural Centre, Embassy of Japan NZ for inviting us to give a demonstration of iaido last Friday - great turn out and good to give people some hands-on with bokuto and dismantling a sword.

This weekend was our first national seminar for 2019 and we were lucky enough to be under the instruction of Kaneda Sensei.
We're sure that everyone who attended had a great time and learned a lot regardless of their level!

And congratulations to the seven newly graded participants from around the country!

Well done to all our beginner iaidōka - only 2 weeks to go on our 10 week introduction course (and a lifetime to keep practicing!). We'll be learning kendo kata and how to perform iaidō enbu (demonstrations) to round out the course.
