Happy New Year! We’re back from our holidays and we’re getting the cafe ready to reopen THIS FRIDAY!
To ease back into it, our hours for the first three days will be 9am til 2pm and the offering will be a smaller, simpler menu (did somebody say Turkey Club and Buffalo Cauliflower Roll 🤤) as well as a cabinet stocked full of goodies.
If you’ve been holding out for one of Lisa’s donuts, the flavour this Saturday will be Jelly Tip so feel free to send us a message so we can put one or two on hold for you. Keep your eyes peeled on socials for a glimpse at what else is in the cabinet.
Whether it’s this week or later on when you’re back from your adventures, we look forward to seeing you at the cafe soon.

Unfortunately for us (but we’re stoked for them!) three of our weekend FOH workers who have been with us for quite some time will be finishing up next year to go to various universities around the country.
What this means for us is we’ll be looking for a couple of people who would be interested in working part time weekend shifts and also someone who might be able to do Wednesdays and Thursdays.

We know we said we’d already announced all of our events for the year but and what we want to do is hold another dinner service before we close up!
We’ll be serving up a three course menu on December 7th (with a choice for each course) for $72pp. If you’d like to come along to this, get in touch. As per usual, the mailing list has snapped up a lot of the tables so only five more remain.
We’ve also still got a wee bit of space for our Christmas Roast on December 17th (mainly at either 12pm or 2pm.
Our last day of service for the year will be December 22nd and we’ll be giving our team a bit time to put their feet up before reopening on Jan 5th.

Beef Wellington and Adrian Green’s (world famous in Miramar!) Chicken Kiev with Tikka Masala Sauce.
Both available from 11:30am on our specials board. There is a limited supply for both so if either of these are a must have for you, book a table and let us know at the time of booking if you’d want either of them on hold.

The date for our annual Christmas Lunch has been set!
On December 17th we’ll be holding a two course (main and dessert) festive lunch for $50pp. The mailing list has snapped up about 60% of the space so get in touch ASAP if you’d like to book.
We are taking bookings from 12pm - 3pm, tables for three people or less will be allocated 1.5 hours and four or more will be allocated 2 hours.
The menu is yet to be confirmed but there will be a vegetarian option for the main course, if you have any other allergies or dietary requirements please discuss these with us when booking.

2023 is flying by and we know the next couple of months will be a blur so here’s a quick summary of what we’ve got happening at Polo:
- This Sunday will be our second to last roast for the year (pork)
- We’ve got 5 or 6 tables left for our dinner on November 11th where we’ll be exploring the dishes of famous British chefs
- Our three course dinner on December 1st is almost fully booked. We have a little bit of space at 5:30 and 8pm otherwise we can add you to a waitlist if you’re looking for a table outside of these times
- As per usual, our final roast of the year will be a special Christmas lunch. The details for this are yet to be confirmed… join the mailing list on our website to keep yourself informed!
