Remember last year’s bamboozling campaign? Yeees, the one with the s**t rolled in glitter, you’ve got it.
We had the pleasure of taking gsm magazine down the rabbit hole to tell them about our process (and what on earth went through our minds when we decided 256 stop motion assets was a reasonable target). Thanks for featuring us, GSM, we had a blast chatting!
As for you lot behind your screens? Drop the phone, grab a copy of the magazine and indulge in it with a good cuppa. Or some cotton candy brainstorm. Either or.
As the doom of adulthood sneaks up on me, and the pressing quest of joining the workforce falls upon my shoulders, I take a minute to hijack Strategy’s means of social communication to direct a message to my fellow junior designers: the world is NOT about to end!
Hi, I’m Maysa! This year I had the pleasure of joining Strategy as a design intern, and boy have I learned things. In fact, I wrote about it. And you should read it. Or not. Up to you. But you definitely should. Just saying.

Who’s that being shown off in 2024 Hot New Things? None other than Maysa Lopes (.e), our badass intern, of course.
Check the link in our bio to see Maysa’s feature & learn more about how she copes with the industry’s tendency for imposter syndrome: “creativity is a muscle (...) once you learn how to exercise it, there’s no stopping you!“.

There’s nothing like sitting down in front of a jug of beer and deciding to become super fit. Picture this: December 22nd 2022, a nondescript Welsh pub in Wellington and an agreement: “let’s run the Hawke’s Bay Half-Marathon”. From the ashes of a night out was born RFC (Running Footers Club) - a Strategy group of wannabe runners with their own Strava and Slack channels.

Let’s be real, running is a journey. From the hoons that fly by to the slow trudges; from the (runner’s) highs to the lows you work through. In many ways, mental health is no different.
We called on our local Cantabrian community to get comfy in front of the camera where they showed us the emotions a run can trigger. Through the lens, we showed the people behind the laps and who they’re running for.
The paired back colour palette of our photography set the perfect stage for the rest of the Run72 brand. Shot by the talented

So stoked to see Fugitive Organic featured on Design Assembly NZ !
Marlborough wine start-up; Fugitive, is Aotearoa’s first organic wine brand using only alternative refillable packaging. Uncaged. Unpacked. Uninhibited. Unexpected. A wine that wants to break free from its conventional past. A middleman between premium wine and craft beer. A brand that thought outside of the box (bottle). Luxurious but organic.
Nadine & Logie wrote in their brief to us: "We’re just two mates making wine differently." This inspired a unique typographic expression of the repetitive lines of vineyards. The two smallest ‘dots’ at either end, represent Fugitive’s founders working within the grapes.
