Swimsuit is turning 5 🎂🎉

Quite unbelievable really, through what has been the hardest years hospitality has experienced, we’re still here and able to do what we do best. We couldn’t have done it without you 💙

Our good friends are hosting us at the recently reopened .space.club on Saturday 24th Feb, and you are cordially invited to come down and celebrate what we think is a great milestone.

AKA Borrowed CS, who features heavily on our swimsuit selects playlist, will be playing alongside our extended Swim family and very talented and .e.e.e

The first 50 through the door will get a lil swimsuit goodie pack, while the first 100 will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win some birthday presents.

Didn’t take the W at this year’s Felix Awards but boy did we have a fun night regardless 🥂🍾

Our wee Lombard baby just turned one and we couldn’t be more proud 🥹
As many of you know this spot was Tait’s old stomping ground so the opportunity to takeover was a pretty surreal full circle moment. We knew we had big shoes to fill moving into Lombard Lane so we are chuffed with the amount of love we’ve received so far and super excited to see the lane get to its full potential.

After months of developing and tasting, we are incredibly excited to finally share with you all something we’ve been working on, Swimsuit’s very own coffee bean roasted by , launching tomorrow 📣

Coffee supreme has been a pillar in New Zealand’s coffee scene, we’ve watched from afar and have really admired what they have done for this industry. To have a company of that calibre back our vision and support us has made us realise that we do provide something special to the Wellington hospitality scene. With Supreme’s support we’re confident we can refine and grow our product and overall experience 👩‍🍳

This is really exciting for us because we’ve wanted to bring our own coffee product to life for a long time. It’s always daunting changing something so important to us, but this is the step towards achieving some big goals and we’re excited to see how far we can go on this journey. We’ve got lots of fun things planned and can’t wait to work alongside them to help bring our visions to life. This is an ever evolving idea, what we release tomorrow is the first movement and were stoked for you to come along for the ride with us as we develop this into something special

Starting tomorrow morning we will be serving the new roast in store so come down and celebrate with us, there will be some retail bags up for grabs so get in early to secure yourself a freebie! Looking forward to what’s ahead # # 💙

Hello everybody it sure has been a minute, we hope you’ve all been keeping well, we’ve had a pretty busy year so far so here’s a lil update. We threw our first ever ticketed event! Thank you to everyone who managed to make their way down to boogie with us, because of you guys we managed to raise $2000 for Sustainable Coastlines 🐧 We made our second appearance at the @121.festival this time popping up three coffee sites and having a lot of fun with you and the team! Our iced oat maples have also made more permanent position in the drinks fridge.

You’ll also notice a small switch up with the sweets as well as a few new add ons for the cabinet food, accompanied by some menu’s over the coming weeks!

Its been 4 years since we opened the doors to our flagship on Dixon street, and we wanted to celebrate with you all, for a cause.

Join us for a night of celebrating what you, the community has turned Swimsuit into.

With music curated by the 121 Festival, we’re in safe hands with a superb local line up of artists featuring , .balance , .mqa , and .

$20 tickets, with all proceeds being donated to Sustainable Coastlines, as well as a special drink’s menu by Swimsuit.

A couple of weeks back we had to say good bye to a real one, . He’s taking a leap of his own pursuing his own clothing label .auto and heading off overseas to chase the dragon. Matt was with us from the early days and we grew a lot together, which we thoroughly enjoyed. If you didn’t know already he is in control of our playlist’s and also put together our first clothing line as well as absolutely stacking some of the best tulips Wellington has seen on a flat white, 18 was it? It was great to have you with us, we will always appreciate the fashion advice you gave Tait, and we’ll see you soon! Much love ❤️

We’re looking to add more depth to our Swimteam 🏊‍♀️
Roles would begin at the start of February or earlier!

The roles we have going are:

Full time position at our Miramar shop, ideally with a background in coffee.

Multiple part time roles at our city shops depending on how many days your free! You will have to work most Saturdays, although we close Sunday for staff wellness 🧘‍♂️

Our little slice of suburbia is turning 1! 🎂

Heading out into the suburbs was a big move for us, Miramar is a great community and we’re stoked to be part of it 😝 as a thank you we will be doing 2 dollar coffees tomorrow morning till 10am so get up early and we will see you there! 🔥 (Miramar only)

As you all would have noticed, one of our superstars, Missy, has packed her bags and headed over to Japan! Missy had been with us for the good part of 3 years, helping us to set our ethos and provide the community with some of the most welcoming service and killer coffee Wellington has seen 😎

Missy is doing an exchange as part of the JET programme teaching Japanese students English. Sometimes opportunities arise and we are stoked that you took such a bold step and we can only be proud.

We’ve been working away on a new space, and we hope you’ll love it as much as we do.

After a lot of late nights planning and working away, Swimsuit Lombard Street is ready for our soft launch THIS SATURDAY 🥹

Opening our third site will definitely bring its challenges, but it also brings opportunity for Tait, W***y and the rest of the team to grow and this is an exciting prospect for us!

We would like to show how grateful we are for your support by providing $2 coffees down at 5 Lombard Street for the opening on Saturday (10am - 3pm) Without the community we’ve had around us we would not be where we are today, thank you!
