We recently took a business trip to Japan and absolutely fell in love with this super delicious on-the-go food we found everywhere in Japan. They were conveniently placed in all the corner stores and train stops and were such a treat we just had to bring this magic back home to Wellington. After much RnD we have perfected this Tuna Mayo filled rice delight!

Last weekend we celebrated our 22nd birthday and 2 year anniversary for Evil Twins!!! 🥳

We are grateful to all the people who joined us for the celebration and have been part of our journey over the past two years. It has been a rollercoaster ride of triumphs and struggles, but we remain committed to our pursuits and inspired thanks to our brother-in-law Vic, supportive sister Ness and of course…. you guys! Can't believe it's been a year since we filmed the show! Evil has been an incredible ride and we're so grateful to all of you who have supported us along the way. Thank you for being part of our journey! Every day has been an opportunity to learn something new and to grow with you together.

Our dreams and passions have become a reality because of our biggest supporters and co-founders - Vic and Ness. Without them, we wouldn’t have Evil or had the push to do something different. It’s so important to stay true to yourself even if you want what goes against the will of your own parent(s). In Chinese culture, there is often a fixed mindset that children can only be successful if they take the traditional path: finish University and get a stable job at an established company. We hope that S*k Fan Lah might help other young people who come from a traditional background to consider following their hearts to discover their own happiness (instead of fulfilling someone else's idea of happiness).

Thank you to the .tv team for choosing us to be your Wellington hosts (what an absolute honour!) and for creating such a beautifully unique series that highlights the differences and similarities we all share as humans ❤️

After 3 weeks of intense preparation and very little sleep we finally completed the Evil Twins retail shop! We never would have imagined that Evil Twins would evolve from a little cafe window on Vivian St into what it is today.

It all started when we realised that university wasn’t for us. Despite all of the social pressures and expectations of others, we dropped out of uni and along with our sister Vanessa and brother-in-law Victor, we started to brainstorm an alternative path in life that we could be passionate about. At the start we were full of fear and uncertainty, but we were encouraged by our business partners to push through which helped us discover the path that led to our creative outlet within Evil.

We’ve loved every minute of this insane journey, but the best part has been watching the Evil Twins community grow from just a small group of family and friends to all of you, our incredible supporters. You’ve given us the confidence and inspiration to continue on and to push more boundries. Thank you so much for encouraging us every step of the way. We are incredibly grateful for your support and truly couldn’t have gotten here without you all.

We hope to see you soon at our new retail store and cafe!

After a crazy wild fun almost two year journey, we are finally expanding! Join us on the the 12th of December for the official public launch of our Evil Twins retail store (to be internally connected to our cafe on Willis St).

Our focus will still be trying to make the best cuppa and baked goodies in Welly, BUT now with a space to showcase our other passion: designing streetwear clothing and accessories.

Our journey to this point would not be possible without the support from you guys! Stepping out of our comfort zone and working though our self doubt is a daily struggle, but we continue to push through with all your positive messages and the trust you put into us to serve your daily caffeine fix. Hi Evil fam, it’s been a while since we’ve talked to you all!

We just wanted to send out a massive thank you for all the love and support you have given us with this little family business. We started from a humble little takeout window on Vivian Street with zero hospo experience, slowly found our loving Evil community, and then our home base on Willis Street.

After a much needed break from social media to boost our mental health, we are now back and with a lot of exciting projects in the works. A sincere thanks to everyone who has followed us from the beginning and those new to our journey, we can’t wait to share what’s ahead!

This wall is to encourage you to write down a goal or dream you've always wanted to achieve, even if it’s something small.

Against the will of one of our parents, we still started Evil Twins. What continues to keep us going is the idea that we’ve chosen a path of our own, in pursuit of discovering our own happiness (not someone else’s idea of how we should live).

Anyone can write their own story and chase their own happiness. Evil Twins started with an idea that was written on a wall. Next time you pop by for a drink, we encourage you to grab a pen and leave a dream of yours behind. ✍🏻⛅️

Happy 2022 Evil Fam! After a much needed 3 week break, we are so excited to reopen this coming Tuesday the 18th of January. The first 10 months of our start up journey was the hardest we have ever worked in our lives. We've grown so much as individuals and have realized the importance of balancing the grind & hustle with creating time & space for our mental health, friends and family. Our batteries are now fully charged. We're ready to take on 2022 and provide you the very best drinks and Evil experience.
