DECEMBER 7,2023 || BCCVES launched "EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM ON READING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CARE" ( EPPREC).
EPPREC is a program on reading and environmental care including different lessons' integration in fun-filled activities outside the four walls of the classroom and let learners enjoy learning with nature. Smelling and enhaling the fresh air brought by nature, jumping, playing, sitting down under the trees, feeling the grasp of the cool wind and watching the bees, butterflies and grasshoppers nearby which makes learning feels refreshing. The program is initiated by Dr. Jane Latawan Adolfo, the School Head, piloted by the Grade 3 and Grade 4 classes at the Barangay Country Club Village Women's Park. The place was made possible for learning by the Camp John Hay Management for allowing the school to use the area and the Barangay Country Club Village Women's Group and other CCV residents for preparing the place conducive for learning.
The learners had a blast with all the fun-filled learning activities primarily on reading. Story telling, pantomines, skits, Math and Science lessons' integration, various Larong Lahi were also some of the activities. The Grade 4 learners also watered the coffee seedlings that were just planted during the Nationwide Tree Planting activity yesterday nearby the park.
The children's smiles and excitement while doing the tasks implied that outdoor learning could indeed create learning enthusiasm and confidence to children. They were as well observed to be more engaged to learning. Thus, the program's goals were a bullseye on its first cupid shot!
