CerviQ proudly participated in Baguio City’s Pasadang Pambarangay, a dynamic initiative that highlights the power of collaboration in improving grassroots service delivery. Led by the Office of the City Mayor through the Special Services Division (OCM-SSD), this program unites the Health Services Office and a diverse array of government offices and partner agencies to enhance how services reach local communities.

This initiative embodies the city’s dedication to fostering meaningful government-community engagement. By streamlining processes and encouraging partnership, Pasadang Pambarangay aims to elevate both the efficiency and impact of service delivery, ensuring that these services are not only more accessible but also more responsive to the unique needs of each community.

Among the esteemed partners in this effort are the Baguio City Health Office, Barangay Gibraltar, the Gibraltar Health Service Unit, Dynamic People's Network (DPN), Rotary Club of Makati F. Zobel, and Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands. Each of these organizations contributes invaluable expertise and resources, reinforcing a holistic approach that strengthens the bond between government and the communities it serves.

During the event, CerviQ made a significant contribution by sharing its handheld colposcope with midwives attending a didactic training seminar on August 28 at the Baguio Health Services Office. This hands-on training empowered healthcare providers to conduct cervical cancer screenings using a visual inspection approach enhanced by colposcopy.

The colposcope offers several key benefits over traditional screening methods: it provides magnification for more accurate evaluations, enables documentation through cervical imaging, allows remote assessment by physicians, and facilitates quicker communication of results to patients. CerviQ’s involvement not only advanced cervical cancer prevention efforts but also demonstrated the transformative potential of technology in grassroots healthcare.

Together, these collaborative efforts in Pasadang Pambarangay are a testament to what can be achieved when communities and organizations unite with a shared goal of bettering the lives of the people they serve.
