The University of the Philippines Baguio Economics Society announces the comeback of its biggest and grandest flagship event, the Academic Convention in Economics!

With the theme, “Ekonomiyang Makamasa: Employing A Pro-People Approach In Scrutinizing National Economic Initiatives And Policies,” this year’s ACE aims to drag Economics outside of the academe and open up the discourse to Filipino citizens. Expect an extremely diverse and interdisciplinary discussion on the topics of Feminist Economics, Holiday Economics, the PUV Modernization Program, Taxation of E-commerce, and the highly controversial Charter Change.

ACE 2024 will be a two-day event from 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟰-𝟭𝟱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, at 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, from 𝟵 𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟱𝗽𝗺. Save the date and stay tuned for more ACE-related news!

But before we advance to the scholarly panels that we look forward to, here are the reminders for our UPB CSS students and enthusiasts of the Social Sciences studies to remember as we all participate in the event.

‼️ SRCSS GENERAL GUIDELINES ‼️
1) Coffee and other beverages will be available but in order to minimize waste, we remind students who wish to attend to bring their own mugs or tumblers.

2) As part of the registration process, students are required to present their IDs and bring their own lanyards, to the corresponding secretariat booths.

3) The CSS-AVR will be the main plenary session area, seats are also available in the courtyard for those who wish to listen to the plenary presentations.
