The Boy Scout institute of CCNHS has taken work onto their hands to welcome a school year of a cleaner, safer, and spacious City High. They set out to work on various classrooms and even helped fellow students and parents requiring help. Thank you for being so flexible, CCNHS Boy Scouts!

The once bleak scenery of the I love CCNHS sign was given a new and cleaner look, thus walking around the campus of CCNHS will now feel so much fresher. With the help of the Calbayog City Development Authority, City High is another step closer to being prepared for S.Y. 2023-2024!

It is a natural part of a school to utilize pavements for various purposes. However, as those paths are used throughout the school year, the inevitable happens: plants overgrow, and trash piles up. But with the undertaking help of the Bible Readers Society International, the pavement has returned to its former glory. Overgrown plants were weeded, and piled-up trashes were finally picked up and segregated accordingly.

CCNHS kicks off Brigada Eskwela ’23

In line with the mandate of the Department of Education through DepEd Order No. 21, s. 2023, Calbayog City National High School officially commenced the week-long activity of Brigada Eskwela 2023 on August 16, 2023, with the theme: “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan”. This was spearheaded by Mr. Robert Anthony F. Ygrubay, Junior High School Department Head, and Mr. Ruthel D. Conchas, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, the school opened the kick-off through a short program participated in by the GPTA President, Mr. Joselo R. Co, SSG President, Mark Kristoff M. Javate, Barangay Captains, stakeholders, parents, and students.
“Although our school is considered the biggest school in the Schools Division of Calbayog, we also acknowledge the loopholes and weaknesses… we still lack so many things. But I do believe that with the cooperation and help of everybody, especially our stakeholders, we will be able to ensure that the opening of classes would be smooth in accordance with the mandate of the Deped Order…” said Mr. Ygrubay.
On the other hand, BE Coordinator, Mr. Conchas, emphasized during his message the priority areas that need improvements. Some of which are handwashing facilities, comfort rooms, repair of chairs and tables, and cleanliness of the lobbies and hallways.
Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide yearly activity that encourages all education stakeholders to contribute their time, efforts, and other resources in any form to ensure that classrooms, school materials, and facilities are prepared before the opening of classes.

The adventure begins again, City Highers! 🎉

After days of intense hard work and dedication to the institution, Calbayog City National High School is completely prepared for the academic year 2022–2023. The school is very grateful to all the people that made the Brigada Eskwela 2022 happen. Everything went smoothly, and classes are already happening!

Students, teachers, staff, and other personas, BRACE YOURSELVES! For this is Calbayog City National High School, HOME OF THE CHAMPIONS.

Utak at Puso, TATAK CITY HIGH!

Some say that public areas like schools do not have access to a 24-hour water supply. But here in Calbayog City National High School, it is the opposite of what that saying implies, for the school has fixed and improved its water systems. This will provide a clean and smooth flow of water throughout different areas of the school campus without interruptions.

Part of the school includes an organic view of our senses. Leaves, trees, plants, twigs, and branches were trimmed in a clean manner within different areas of Calbayog City National High School. The scene will give an optimistic view of nature. It will also enhance the school's outlook and ambiance due to its straightforward but lovely scenery.

The school grounds of the senior high school campus had already been concreted. This is thanks to the time accessed by the Brigada Eskwela 2022 and to the people who worked solid and strong. This will give a nice perspective within the grounds of the SHS campus, for we will no longer see crumpled sediments that can hinder pathways within the said area.

Let us now give care and attention to our freshmen!

During the Brigada Eskwela 2022, Calbayog City National High School restored the main building for the first-year high school students. It was done in various ways; repainting walls inside and outside of the classrooms, renovating restrooms, repairing damaged roofs, and adding other charming elements that can create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere within the school room.

Another amazing support was given by the "PNP Palanas Cara" to the Calabyog City National High School, for they offered their power to make the school an ideal learning institution for all students. These public figures are displayed as great role models in society. Their unflinching support helped modernize education and shared responsibility for the creation of active learners that can make our community shine in the future.

As time goes by, the paint that we see on buildings and other infrastructures fades off, and this phenomenon is normal. As people with eyes that catch the attention of attraction, it is a must to see colors that are vividly glowing and shining within our sight. Calbayog City National High School repaints the set-ups within the school grounds. This will provide a clean area with a wondrous aura for all individuals that will enter the school gates of CCNHS.

Calbayog City National High School wants to make sure that the students will be much more comfortable inside the school. With the help of the Brigada Eskwela, the said objective was already accomplished. Clearing out broken cabinets and chairs, and cleaning the school canteen were just some of the "events" that happened on the fifth day of the Brigada Eskwela 2022.
