The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Maguindanao proudly announces the successful launch of the "Rehistro Bulilit" program, aimed at registering children aged 1 to 4 years old under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) on 29 August 2024. This marks a significant milestone in the government's ongoing efforts to ensure that all Filipinos, regardless of age, have access to a national ID. By registering at an early age, children will receive a unique identification number that will serve them throughout their lives.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) trusts the assessment and decision of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to terminate its contract with their supplier for the national ID card production.
The PSA is taking necessary measures for the continuous issuance of National IDs. Further, different formats of the National ID are also available for registered persons, such as the ePhilID, which can be obtained from registration centers, and the recently launched Digital National ID, which can be downloaded through https://national-id.gov.ph.
We affirm our unwavering commitment to delivering a reliable and secure national ID system, ensuring that every registered person will receive their National ID.

Engr. Akan G. Tula, OIC Regional Director of the Philippine Statistics Authority - Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA BARMM), together with Mr. Masil H. Mohammadsha, Chief Statistical Specialist of the Provincial Statistical Office in Tawi-Tawi, attended and participated as members of the Bangsamoro Regional Advisory Council (BRAC) in the 2nd Joint National Advisory Council (NAC) and National Technical Working Group (NTWG) Field Visit 2024. The event, themed “Sailing to the South: Navigating the Program’s Impact in the Bangsamoro,” took place from 27 to 30 August 2024 in the Province of Tawi-Tawi. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) and the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) - BARMM, it officially began on 27 August 2024 at the MSU Tawi-Tawi Auditorium in Bongao.

During the event, four teams were created to visit the four municipalities in Tawi-Tawi. The field visit was attended by representatives from various local government units, national government agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders, with some participants coming from central offices. The event aimed to foster collaboration, share insights, and develop comprehensive strategies to enhance the delivery of services and support to the communities. In addition to the NAC event, the BRAC convened a meeting prior to the scheduled event, where an orientation on the program and a backgrounder on the event were provided. The event will conclude on 30 August 2024.

PSA BARMM invites the public, ministries, offices, and agencies including stakeholders to join in the month-long celebration of the 35th NSM activities in October.
The succeeding activity is in line with Presidential Proclamation No. 647, "Declaring the Month of October as National Statistics Month," the NSM is observed annually across the country. In October 2024, the 35th NSM will focus on the theme “Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation,” emphasizing the modernization of the statistical system through digital tools and platforms for greater accuracy.

The list of activities encompasses the following:

1. STATikTok Contest - aims to promote awareness of statistical activities and highlight the importance of statistics.

2. NSM 35k Virtual Run - promotes health and wellness for everyone, regardless of location, age, or ability.

3. NSM Awards – a means to recognize the outstanding participation of government agencies, the private sector, youth organizations, and LGUs in the succeeding activities for the month-long celebration.

The PSA issued Memorandum Circular No. 2024-12, encouraging government agencies, LGUs, academic institutions, and the private sector to actively support the 35th NSM celebration in October 2024.

BASAHIN | Tinalakay ni Engr. Akan G. Tula, regional director (RD) ng Philippine Statistics Authority ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA-BARMM) ang kahalagahan ng pagpapatupad ng Census of Population at ang Community-Based Monitoring System o POPCEN-CBMS.

Sa ika-siyam na episode ng Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas Martes, Hulyo 23, sinabi ni RD Tula na ang POPCEN-CBMS ay ang programa ng pamahalaan na nakatutok sa pangsambahayang datos may kaugnayan sa edukasyon, trabaho, kalusugan at seguridad pagkain, migrasyon, pangunahing sa serbisyo at tirahan, karanasan sa kalamidad, kapayapaan at kaayusan, at iba pang mga mahahalagang datos.

Ayon pa kay RD Tula, ang POPCEN-CBMS ay ginagamit din upang malaman kung sino-sino ang mga kwalipikado para maging benepisyaryo ng mga social protection program.

Dagdag pa ni RD Tula, sa ilalim ng POPCEN-CBMS ay nagsasagawa rin ng geotagging o pagmamapa ng mga gusali at pasilidad tulad ng ospital, eskwelahan, at iba pang mga establisyamento na naghahatid ng serbisyo ng pamahalaan.

Kaugnay pa rin dito, ang PSA-BARMM ay nakapag deploy na rin ng 3,100 enumerators, 560 team supervisor at 146 census area supervisor upang maisakatuparan ang 2024 PopCen CBMS sa rehiyon ng Bangsamoro.

BASAHIN | Puspusan pa rin ang ginagawang hakbang ng Philippine Statistics Authority ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA-BARMM) upang mas marami pang mga residente sa rehiyon ng Bangsamoro ang makapag register sa ilalim ng Philippine Identification System o PhilSys.

Maliban sa mga nabanggit na inisyatiba ay nakikipag partner din ang PSA-BARMM sa iba pang mga tanggapan sa pamahalaan ng Bangsamoro upang madagdagan pa ang bilang ng mga residenteng rehistrado sa PhilSys.

The Philippine Statistics Authority - Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA BARMM), headed by OIC Regional Director Engr. Akan G. Tula, in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Cotabato City led by Regional Head Mr. Fryan Abkilan, and Bangsamoro Information Office (BIO), conducted the “Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas”, a nationwide simultaneous Facebook live-streaming event, on 23 July 2024 at Shiekh Makhdum Hall of PSA BARMM in Cotabato City.

OIC-RD Tula highlighted the PSA’s mandates and activities under Republic Act 10625, known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, which designates the PSA as the primary agency responsible for all national censuses and surveys, sectoral statistics, consolidation of selected administrative recording systems, and compilation of national accounts. He also discussed the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) under R.A. 11055 and the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) pursuant to R.A. 11315, along with PSA BARMM's programs, services, projects, policies, and priorities.

The initiative was guided by the Presidential Directive (PPBM-2024-850), which aims to engage regional communities in meaningful dialogues about the administration’s accomplishments and future plans, enhancing public understanding and engagement with government programs at the grassroots level. It further fulfills President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive for all departments to promote their activities and operations across all regions, showcasing a proactive and citizen-centric government service.

The event was attended by media personalities from local media outlets in Cotabato City and neighboring towns, reflecting the government and stakeholders’ commitment to transparency and accountability and highlighting the importance of community engagement in advancing the nation’s agenda.

PSA BARMM, led by Engr. Akan G. Tula, OIC Regional Director meaningfully conducted an Outreach Program dedicated to Senior Citizens on 19 July 2024 held at the Covered Court, Barangay Martinez Poblacion 4, Cotabato City. The activity aligned with the month-long celebration of the 50th Nutrition Month, with the regional theme: 'Nagkakaisang Bangsamoro sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat.'

Attendees were entertained by dance numbers from fellow seniors and participated in an exciting raffle draw with amazing prizes, including kitchen utensils and CAF memorabilia such as umbrellas and tote bags.

To introduce the social services offered by the PSA, Mr. Bolkiah Dumama, Registration Officer III, discussed key points of the Philippine Identification System and solicited figures on the number of senior citizens who have not registered yet. He committed to deploying PhilSys kits in the Barangay to accommodate residents, especially seniors. In addition, Mr. Delson A. Yusop introduced the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) and gathered information on the number of senior citizens among the attendees who do not have birth certificates in the Security Paper (SECPA). Identified seniors were advised to coordinate with the LGU on the processes to avail of birth certificates in security paper for free.

Consequently, OIC-RD Tula, in his message, reflected on the importance of acquiring a birth certificate as a primary basis of Filipino citizenship. OIC-RD Tula also narrated the case of an 86-year-old senior citizen in Jolo, Sulu, one of the oldest cases of BRAP beneficiaries nationwide. 'PSA loves you all,' OIC-RD Tula emphasized. This signifies the noble mandate of the PSA to deliver social services closer to the people, further manifesting the government's effort to leave no one behind in terms of providing government services to Filipinos.
