𝒃𝒚 𝑮𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒅𝒂 𝑬𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒌𝒊𝒕 𝑫. 𝑺𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒔𝒂

Brigada Eskwela is an annual program initiative by the Department of Education (DepEd). This event, which is held in July this year, brings together parents, educators, students, and community members to get public schools ready for the next academic year.

Brigada Eskwela with its theme Bayanihan Para Sa Matatag na Paaralan exemplifies the spirit of bayanihan, a Filipino culture that values communal harmony and cooperation. It goes beyond mere physical preparations to instill a sense of ownership and pride in the community's educational facilities. Volunteers clean classrooms, repair buildings, paint walls, and perform other maintenance work to keep schools safe and conducive to learning.

This year, Sirib National High School, joined the nationwide Brigada Eskwela, with its stakeholders. As a leader, Mr. Maciste S. Lopez, the school’s principal along with the teachers and parents took the initiative to help prepare school for the upcoming school year and opening of classes.

The school administration made initiatives through posting in the school’s page to encourage stakeholders to participate in the kick-off of Brigada Eskwela. Letters were sent to stakeholders to ask for assistance and aiming to receive support. As a response, the Sirib Baranggay council donated paints for the repainting of classrooms. Just on the first day of Brigada, the stakeholders generously contributed a total of 41,500 through their dedicated labor and 6,280 in invaluable donations in kind.

A Pledge of Commitment was also established to show the continuous support of the teachers, parents, and students in the DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela. The Pledge of Commitment stands as a vibrant testament to the unwavering support of stakeholders in DepEd's Brigada Eskwela. These initiatives not only symbolize solidarity but also magnify the program's impact, unlocking possibilities that transcend the boundaries of local resources.

Sirib National High School, in collaboration with its dedicated stakeholders, remains steadfast in its support and active participation in DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela. Looking forward, we remain committed to upholding the principles of Brigada Eskwela, ensuring every child receives the quality education they deserve. Together, we strive towards creating a brighter future for generations to come.
