In light of the Celebration of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2024, the Dipolog City Government through its City Youth Development Office and the Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan, presents this year's Quiz Bowl Competition.
Be part of this Ultimate Battle of wit and intellect as you flaunt and showcased your vast array of knowledge in these 4 interesting and exciting categories:
1. Philippine Government (National and local ordinances and/or laws, SK Reform Act),
2. History (National and Local History),
3. Culture (Pop Culture, Festivals, Tradition, Landmarks, and SOGIE), and
4. Current Events (International, National, and Local News/Issues).
Exciting Pool of Prizes await for the emerged winners and Consolation Prizes for all participants.

Linggo ng Kabataan 2024 Quiz Bowl Competition Guidelines
1. Registration of Participants must be properly ENDORSED by the concerned SK Chairperson. Endorsement Letter shall be sent to the City Youth Development Office on its set deadline, August 05, 2024, Monday with the photocopy of participants’ valid ID.
2. (2) Two contestants are sent per barangay and should be from the aged 15-30 years old on the day of the competition.
3. Participants should be bona fide residents of the barangay they represent.
4. The activity will take place on August 14, 2024 (Wednesday) from 1pm to 5pm at Museo Dipolog, City Hall.
5. The contest is divided into 3 Phases: EASY, MODERATE and DIFFICULT Phase.
6. Questions shall be of Multiple Choice Type for the EASY QUESTIONS (25 items) MODERATE QUESTIONS (15 items).
7. No Choices shall be provided for the answers to questions for the DIFFICULT PHASE (10 items).
8. Questions will be from the following coverage:
• Philippine Government (National and Local Ordinances and/or laws, SK Reform Act)
• History (National and Local History)
• Culture (Pop culture, Festivals, Traditions, Landmarks and SOGIE)
• Current Events (International, National and Local News/Issues)
9. In between phases, there will be a 2-minute lull.
10. At the end of each phase, the cumulative score of each team/contestant will be computed.
11. At the end of the contest, the group with the highest cumulative score will be declared the CHAMPION. The next two highest-scoring teams will be declared First and Second Runners Up, respectively.
Zuellig Family Foundation-The Challenge Initiative (ZFF-TCI) through its Technical Lead Ms. Maria Teresa P. Ferrolino and the members of the City Leadership Team conducted the Health Leadership Governance last July 11-12, 2024 at Missio Dei Hotel.
The Health Leadership and Governance is a two-day training that aims to deepen and enhance the health leadership competencies of the participants in addressing adolescent reproductive health and other health concerns about the youth. Moreover, it aims to develop the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson and its SK Committee on Health as influencers and empowered citizens who will have a voice and participate in the planning process, decision-making and receiving services and programs that will contribute to the holistic development of the adolescents and youth the Sanggunianh Kabataan serves. Anchored on ZFF's Bridging Leadership (BL) Framework, youth leaders will move towards adolescent and youth-friendly services in their barangays, strengthen intersectoral collaboration, and encorage the involvement of the youth in the community.
The Local Youth Development Office serves as a Resource Person during the 2-day Training tackling Session 7 -Strengthening AYSRH Systems through Governance Bodies and Financing Mechanisms. Lastly, the office gave an overview of the Center of Partipation - Health of the Philippine Youth Development Plan PYDP 2023-2028.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office together with the City Health office; provided basic life support training with the goal of empowering social service providers by equipping them with essential knowledge for handling and responding to emergency situations.

Rule 3, Section 24 (a) of the Republic Act 10742 otherwise known as the “Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015” hereby establishes the creation of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), wherein it is a multi-sectoral youth association composed of representatives from youth and youth-serving organizations in the city level who shall assist in the planning and ex*****on of projects and programs of the SK and the Pederasyon in all levels.
To strengthen this multi-sectoral youth participation in local governance, the Local Youth Development Office of Dipolog ardently invites School-Based Youth Organizations, Faith-Based Youth Organizations and Community Youth-Serving Organizations to be part of this local youth council and participate in leading and shaping the youth developmental policies and activities in the city.
During the assembly, relevant discussions about the importance of this special body in the local planning and the meaningful provisions a council member benefits should it be part of this Youth Council.

EPW Component 2 Roll-out Training for Community Facilitators. Thank you Child Fund
Pursuant to RA 10742 Sec. 26 or the "Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015", the Local Youth Development Office is hereby mandated to conduct Mandatory and Continuing Training to all SK Officials and LYDC members.
The Local Youth Development Office of Dipolog conducted a 2-two day Technical Assistance to all SK Chairperson in Crafting their Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP) and Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP) last February 08, 2024 at Turno Barangay Hall and February 12, 2024 at Top Plaza Hotel. The Training Sessions aim to guide SK Officials create meaningful, significant and impactful Youth Development Programs and Projects across all youth Sectors. In addition, the session provided right insights and technical assistance to some key areas in Formulating their Local Plans aligning it to the Tenets and Provision of the National Youth Commission and DILG. Lastly, it also gave them an overview of the Local Youth Development Plan and the Philippine Youth Development Plan as the guiding direction for all PPA's intended for the Dipolognon Youth.
