"The right to be free of forced labour is both a fundamental labour right, as well as a human right". - ILO Director-General Guy Ryder
According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), there are currently an estimated 21 million forced labour victims worldwide, creating US$ 150 billion in illegal profits in the private economy each year. Forced labour takes many forms, including commercial sexual exploitation, debt bo***ge or traditional slavery, and is present in many sectors, such as agriculture, construction, domestic work or fishing.
This day is dedicated to ending modern forms of slavery, such as human trafficking, sexual exploitation, the most heinous kinds of child labor, forced marriage, and the forced recruitment of minors for use in armed conflict (United Nations, 2021).
There is hope as there is a widespread commitment to end forced labour.

It may appear impossible to stay educated in today's fast-paced environment without spending hours reading articles to get the most reliable information.
This piece of information will serve as a guide to learning about the Philippine government structure and will assist us, voters, in understanding what they should consider while casting informed votes.

Voting is a vital civic obligation for many individuals. But, for many others, voting is too much of a headache, a pressure- a pointless activity. There are many reasons why individuals may not vote, but we believe it is essential that all voices be heard on election day.
So we ask some friends to share their reasons on why should we vote and why our vote really does matter.
More than 80 years have passed since the right to suffrage was bestowed on every Filipino citizen.
With the upcoming national elections in May 2022, may we use our rights well by voting for the suitable people who will lead the Philippines for the next six years.
A responsible citizen is up to date.
Suffrage: โThe right to vote, or the exercising of that right.โ -Andrew Heywood
