Pakigdait Youth Council is a community-based organization that aims to serve and preserved each culture and to diverse each religion and help the society through sustainable projects.
"There is no other way to peace, peace is the only way."
Pakigdait Inc. has said these words over the years, but its meaning outweighs the simplicity of the phrase. For 21 years since its conception, Pakigdait Inc. has, in its unrelenting contribution to a better future, nurtured peace in the lands of Mindanao.
The phrase itself has become a motto of the people involved working tirelessly for this goal and serves as a reminder that peace is not merely the destination, it is also the journey—and a long and tedious one at that. It has also become embedded in the paths we take as we continue to practice peace in our work and our daily lives.
We see peace in every child clutching his or her backpack on their way to the learning centers. We see peace in every man who once took up arms against each other but now plays sports together. We see it in every woman who nurtures the community and draws their dreams of the future. We see peace in every religious leader guiding their communities towards serenity.
Now, as Pakigdait Inc. celebrates yet another year down the paths that lead to peace, the phrase becomes a testament to every obstacle we had to face, and every simple victory we have celebrated. We believe that this road will wind on still, as long as there are unharmonious relationships caused by conflict present in these lands.
Until then, we will continue to sow the seeds of peace, one heart at a time. For there is no other way to peace, peace is the only way. We are Pakigdait, and this is the Pakigdait way.

MP Abdullah Macapaar Demonstrates Proper Handwashing Techniques to an M**F Community
January 25, 2021---MP Abdulah Goldiano Macapaar’s hands got covered in soap and suds as he demonstrates proper handwashing techniques to the 123rd Bilal Base Command Community, along with 4th Mechanized Battalion Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Domingo Dulay, and two young members of the community on the Pakigdait-led activity Kapamagawda: Moving Forward Together and Working Hand in Hand for Peace and Development.
Pakigdait Inc. braved the hinterlands of Lanao del Norte, in the municipality of Tagoloan, where the said M**F community is situated in. Pakigdait Inc., with the partnership With Embassy of Canada in the Philippines Thru Canada Fund for Local Initiative (CFLI), and with the cooperation of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade, distributed hygiene kits, to prevent and safeguard these communities from the pandemic in order to further facilitate the once militaristic camps into active and peaceful communities, as is the goal of normalization and following the notion of a safe community being that of a peaceful one.
The project entitled Contributing to a More Peaceful Pandemic-free and Resilient Community through Locally Appropriate, Women-initiated Transformation of Camp Bilal not only aims to protect these communities from the pandemic and facilitates their transition towards normalization, but it also aims to empower women, and the youth in the camps for Pakigdait Inc. believes in the big role these women and young people hold in the full transition of these camps.
This activity is the first of many more interventions by Pakigdait Inc that is targeted to create a safe atmosphere in these transitioning communities not just from conflict, but also with the hazards of the COVID-19 pandemic. Pakigdait Inc. will continue to distribute this information and kits to the different camps under Camp Bilal in the near future.
There is no other way to peace, peace is the only way. We are Pakigdait and this is the Pakigdait way.

" This picture symbolizes, Peace and Unity among the youth in various faiths";
This was taken and said during the Listening and Visioning Session for the Youth in one of the Camps of Bilal under the North Western Mindanao Front (NWMF), of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (M**F) located at Camp Javal Toor, 125th Base Command NWMF, Tangcal, Lanao Del Norte.
A powerful statement of the Youth who has got a vision of a peaceful and harmonious community, as our humble contribution of the peace process and normalization by transforming the camps through series of engagements for the Youth.
Olaf and Dora participated in the Kapanulad: a children's coloring session and in the Pakaradian last December 21, 2020

Monday, November 1, 2020—Along with the celebration of the Kapamagogopa, a confidence-building activity in 125th Base command in Beruar, Tangcal Lanao del Norte. As the guests from different sectors of the society exchanged their messages for peace and solidarity, the Pakigdait Youth Council, led by Kent Jules Diango and Jade Dela Cruz engaged the young M**F-BIAF combatants in the camp.
The voice of the young BIAF is equally essential with that of the top commanders in crafting a peaceful and resilient community from military camps; they would also break the cycle of violence thus ensures a long lasting and developmental peace for the communities.
“The young BIAF are important in the creation of peace in these communities.” Elnathan Ermac, the vice chair of the PYC said in an interview. “They will become the next leaders in the future, and by telling them that their voice matters, they, too in the future will hear the voices of those who were once unheard of. The domino-effect of peace starts from us, the young people.”
The PYC members acquainted these young BIAF individuals with UReport, telling them about the steps on becoming a local UReporter, the possibilities of the outcomes of their participation, and the new opportunities it will create.
We are the Pakigdait Youth Council, and we are for peace.
