Abdullah is a product of our dedicated efforts in daawah last year. Through our initiatives, he was guided towards Islam while he was still a senior high student at Iligan City National High School.

Here are the latest updates on Ramadhan Sponsor a New Muslim Family Project 1445 H.

Alhamdulillah. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have successfully distributed essential Ramadan supplies and aid to numerous new Muslim families, ensuring that they can observe this holy month with peace of mind and spiritual fulfillment.

Our most recent distribution included food parcels containing staple items such as rice, canned goods, eggs, and cooking oil, as well as financial aid to help with their immediate needs. This support has brought smiles and relief to many, especially those who may have been facing challenges due to their reversion to Islam and the difficulties that can sometimes accompany this life-changing decision.

We witnessed heartfelt gratitude from the recipients, who expressed how these acts of kindness have strengthened their faith and their sense of belonging to the Ummah. Their Ramadan experience has been significantly enhanced, allowing them to focus on their spiritual growth and the practice of fasting and prayer without the heavy burden of financial strain.

It seeks to let them feel the true brotherhood taught in our religion of Islam and show them that their Muslim brothers and sisters are there to support them towards a prosperous fasting period.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭? In the past nine (9) years of da'wah by Al-Jalis As-Salih (The Good Companion) Inc. in Iligan City, no fewer than 1,000 individuals have embraced Islam, with 286 new reverts recorded in 2021-2023, coming from various family statuses and locations within Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, and Misamis Oriental. An estimated 80% of them are considered miskin (poor), many lacking sufficient or abundant meals on many occasions, especially during the month of Ramadan.

Many have been disowned by their own families, relatives, or kin due to their conversion to Islam. Who else is their true family if not their brothers and sisters in their new faith of Islam? Hence, this program aims to focus on our Muslim revert brothers and sisters, showing them that they indeed have brothers who love, care for, and support them. Truly, they are entitled to your 𝒛𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒉 and 𝒔𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒒𝒂𝒉 (charity) as Allah says in the Holy Quran,

إِنَّمَا ٱلصَّدَقَٰتُ لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱلۡعَٰمِلِينَ عَلَيۡهَا وَٱلۡمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمۡ وَفِي ٱلرِّقَابِ وَٱلۡغَٰرِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبۡنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِۖ فَرِيضَةٗ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٞ

"The Sadaqāt (prescribed alms) are (meant) only to be given to the poor, the needy, to those employed to collect them, and the ones whose hearts are brought together, (i.e. newly converted to Islam), for freeing slaves and those encumbered with debt, in the way of Allah and to a wayfarer. This is an obligation prescribed by Allah. Allah is All-Knowing, Wise" (Surah At-Tawbah | Qur'an 9:60)

Ang pagbigay natin ng tulong mula sa ating project para sa mga kaptid natin na ito na mga balik islam na nangangailangan ngayong linggo.

Ang mga indibidwal ay mga senior citizen na balik Islam. Ang karamihan sa kanila ay may mga sakit at nagmimintena ng gamot at para maunawaan po natin, ang karamihan sa kanila ay tinalikuran ng kanilang pamilya dahil sa kanilang pagiging muslim. Opo, TINALIKURAN NG KANILANG PAMILYA, NG KANILANG MGA ASAWA AT MGA ANAK. Makapagbibigay tayo ng listahan ng mga indibidwal na kilala namin mula sa mga ginagabayan naming mga balik islam na may ganitong kalagayan. Pagtubayin nawa sila ng Allah sa pananampalataya. Kung akala natin sinusubok tayo sa ating pananampalataya, tingnan po natin ang mga indibidwal na ito na sa kabila ng mga pgasubok na ito sa kanila dahil sa pagpili nila sa Islam ay nanatili silang matatag sa kanilang pagiging muslim. Ngunit kailangan po nila ng paglinga mula sa ating ummah bilang mga kapatid natin sila sa pananampalataya.

Alhamdulillah sa pamamagitan ng ating proyekto ay nakatulong po tayo sa maraming mga kapatiran na yumakap sa Islam na walang ibang matakbuhan maliban sa atin. Gantimpalaan ng Allah ang mga indibidwal na sumusupurta sa amin sa proyektong ito. Wallahi, parte kayo ng daawah na ito.
