𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: 𝗖𝗣𝗨 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗤𝗦 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 2025

Central Philippine University (CPU) is back on the roll of top universities for 2025 in the QS Asia Rankings which also included it on its list of best Asian universities from 2021 to 2023.

CPU was ranked among the prestigious Asian universities by Quacquarelli Symonds based on key indicators such as academic reputation, learning and teaching environment, research impact, and internationalization among others.
In addition, CPU is now ranked among the Top 20 universities in the Philippines.

This recent QS Asia Ranking milestone boosts the growing list of recognitions given to the University including its presence in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings which emphasized its contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, and the granting of Autonomous Status to the University for the period September 16, 2024 to September 15, 2027 by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

CPU President, Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard Dagohoy expressed his gratitude to God for this blessing which is a testament to His guidance and faithfulness.

“This is truly a blessing and a testament to God’s guidance and faithfulness in all that we do at CPU,” he said.

He also said that this achievement would not be possible without the steadfast support of CPU partners and other stakeholders and he thanked the CHED, especially its chairman and CHED Region VI director for their unwavering support.

“This would not have been possible without the steadfast support of our partners and other stakeholders. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Commission on Higher Education, especially to Chairman Dr. J, Prospero ‘Popoy’ De Vera III and CHED Region VI director, Dr. Raul C. Alvarez, Jr., for their unwavering support, which enables institutions like ours to reach new heights,” he added.

Dagohoy also conveyed his deep appreciation to the CPU Board of Trustees, the CPU academic community and its alumni worldwide, citing that their commitment to the CPU vision and mission has greatly helped in achieving this significant milestone.

“I also express my deep appreciation to the CPU Board of Trustees, our faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni worldwide. Your commitment to the vision and mission of CPU has greatly helped in propelling the University to this significant milestone,” he said.

Finally, he pointed out that the QS Asia Ranking recognition did not only bring honor but also a call to continue the legacy of its founders especially in living out the University motto, “Scientia et Fides” or “Science and Faith.” He also called on the different stakeholders to work together on new challenges inspired by the past and hopeful for the future in honor of God.

“This recognition is not only an honor but also a call to continue the legacy of our founders by being instruments for transforming lives, advancing knowledge, and living out our motto, Scientia et Fides (Science and Faith). Together we will take on new challenges inspired by the past and hopeful for the future, in honor of God who makes service to others a joy and a life-long pursuit,” he said.

Central Philippine University, a Baptist institution of higher learning in Iloilo City, has afforded the Philippines with academic excellence, Christian faith, and community service for 119 years.

Announcement: Re-scheduling of Midterm Examination

Announcement regarding classes and office work at Central Philippine University for October 28, 2024:

Face to face classes in the college levels, (including the College of Law, College of Medicine, and the School of Graduate Studies) will resume.

The Junior High School and Senior High School will resume face to face classes and activities following the adjusted schedules.

The Kindergarten and the Elementary School are already on their Academic Break.

Regular office hours will also resume.
