The school held the monthly mass early this morning followed by a short talk on 4H Club highlighting its importance and impact in the community.
The main celebrant of the mass was Rev. Fr. DB Ray Badoya of the Parish of San Isidro Labrador, Caninguan, Lambunao, Iloilo while the former Sangguniang Bayan Member, Agripreneur and Farm Owner, Ma’am Mary Grace N. Suganob graced the after-mass event that covered about 4H Club.

Jayobo Farm School's Grade 9 Learners Share Insights from BayanANIhan Summit 2024
Four Grade 9 learners from Jayobo Farm School—Jhuztine Royann Descalsota Sanchez, Therese Paras Lacupa, Izzy Estacion Lastimoso, and Angel Calderon Panes.—shared their experiences from the BayanANIhan Summit 2024 at today's convocation ceremony. Held at West Visayas State University (WVSU) in Iloilo City from August 29 to 31, the summit focused on sustainable agriculture, youth empowerment, and community development.
Accompanied by their school head, Mr. Russell Jancilan , the students engaged in workshops and panel discussions that highlighted sustainable farming practices and community collaboration. During the convocation, the participants spoke about their key takeaways, including innovative agricultural techniques and the importance of "Bayanihan"—the Filipino spirit of communal unity.
The students expressed enthusiasm about applying their newfound knowledge to benefit their school and community. The school community expressed pride in their achievements, underscoring the importance of youth involvement in sustainable development.
Special thanks were given to the parents for supporting their children's participation in this meaningful event.
⚜️Outfit 578 of Jayobo Farm School Celebrates Success in 3-Day Backyard Camping and Investiture.⚜️
Jayobo Farm School’s Outfit 578 successfully hosted its first 3-day Backyard Camping and Investiture, highlighting the school’s commitment to holistic development beyond farming. Spearheaded by dedicated adult leaders Cindy C. Gardose, Pablito C. Compliza Jr., Sheena Mae L. Laceña, Frederick L. Tinambunan, and Institutional Head Russell G. Jancilan, the event was held to promote scouting skills, camaraderie, and leadership among young scouts.
The event kicked off with an investiture ceremony on Day 1, where scouts participated in various scouting activities, including Advancement Rank, Knot Tying, Navigation and Trail Signs, and learning the Flag Code. A Board of Review session was conducted, resulting in the promotion of three Grade 7 scouts—CJ Lastimozo, Jan Earon Lozada, and Iya Benedicto—from Scout Members to Explorers. Federico Compliza (Grade 8) and Angel Luna Benedicto (Grade 11) were promoted from Pathfinders to Outdoorsmen.
Day 2 focused on essential life-saving skills with training sessions on Basic First Aid and Rappelling, led by MDRRMO's Democrito Legario. The scouts also learned Basic Fire Safety from FO2 Kehner Labayno, FO1 RJ G. Tayo, and FO1 Ann Claire C. Labordo. The day concluded with a "Road to Safety" workshop led by PSSG Bennie Ralph Catedrilla of the PNP Lambunao. In the evening, the scouts gathered around a campfire where they celebrated with songs, stories, and reflections, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie.
The final day of the camp was filled with thrilling activities, including an Obstacle Challenge, a Navigation Trail, and a refreshing swim at Montillano Falls, where scouts bonded and celebrated their achievements.
The event would not have been a success without the support of Outfit 528 from Lambunao NHS, led by Crispian Lou S. Bogador, WBH, and Rojar Madera, WBH, who provided invaluable assistance. A special thanks was extended to ILOILO Confesor for the technical support given to Outfit 578.
The 3-day event was a testament to Jayobo Farm School's dedication to developing well-rounded individuals through scouting, instilling essential values and skills that go beyond traditional classroom learning.

Grade 9 learners from Jayobo Farm School, accompanied by their school head, Mr. Russell G. Jancilan, actively participated in the 3-day BayanANIhan Summit 2024, held at West Visayas State University (WVSU) in Iloilo City. The summit, which took place from August 29 to August 31, brought together students, educators, and community leaders from across the Iloilo Province to discuss sustainable agricultural practices, youth empowerment, and community development.
The event featured a variety of activities, including workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on training sessions, all aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture and community collaboration.
Participants left the summit inspired and equipped with new insights to bring back to their communities, reinforcing the values of Bayanihan and sustainable development.

Jayobo Farm School Celebrates Tech- Voc Day
Colorful parade opened the grand day as Jayobo Farm School is in unison in joining the nationwide celebration with the theme: “Tech-Voc Tungo sa Pag-unlad at Pagbangon; Angking Talino at Kakayahan, Linangin at Isulong. “
Short opening program followed and graced by the school head Sir Russell Jancilan as he highlighted the importance of uplifting skills and honing every aspect of the learners’ capabilities during his speech.Also in the list were the teachers and the Head Teacher III of the school, Dr. Charina A. Lauresta.

Jayobo Farm School Harvests 55 Kilos of Bananas
Jayobo Farm School recently harvested a total of 55 kilos of Cavendish, Katsila, and Saba bananas from its banana plantation. This marks a significant contribution to the school's agricultural efforts, showcasing the students' hands-on learning experience in sustainable farming practices.

Comprehending Agriculture: Insights into Farm School Curriculum
Grade 8 Council’s UMA: Understanding and Mobilizing Agriculture was given importance as the first theme for the PAKSA Implementation.
It highlighted some importance of farm school curriculum to raise awareness to the learners and to fully embrace agricultural education with the resource speaker Dr. Cereann Mae S. Peronilla, Head Teacher I of Jayobo Farm School.
Kudos to the Grade 8 Council most especially to Ma’am Devorah Luiz for spearheading the activity.

"Manokan sa Eskwelahan: Pioneering Sustainability in School Farming"
In a collaborative effort, students from Grade 10-Tamworth, Grade 9-Landrace, and Grade 9-Cucurbita take part in the direct sowing of corn around Manokan sa Eskwelahan. The corn will later serve as feed for the chickens, while the surrounding area is cleaned to enhance the project for the upcoming Innovation Showdown.
This joint effort showcases Jayobo Farm School’s dedication to sustainable agriculture and innovation.

The Essential Operation of Mulching❕
Mulching is the process of covering the topsoil with plant material such as leaves, grass, twigs, crop residues, straw,etc. A mulch cover enhances the activity of soil organisms such as earthworms.
In this hands-on activity, the Grade 10 learners used plastic mulch to cover their garden plot that could be useful and beneficial to the plants.

"Exploring the roots of innovation: A field visit to a Mushroom Project where cultivation meets discovery."
The Grade 12 learners specializing Agricultural Crops Production NC II visited the Mushroom Project in Brgy. Jayobo, Lambunao, Iloilo owned by Mr. Lino Copita. He shared his expertise in making fruiting bags and producing oyster mushrooms and convinced the learners to go into mushroom farming.

Mina NHS Orders 22 Bottles of Sinamakan from Jayobo Farm School
Mina National High School, through the initiative of Ma'am Mary Joy S. Tono, a former JFS faculty member, has placed an order of 22 bottles of Sinamakan from Jayobo Farm School. The transaction marks continued collaboration between the schools, fostering community ties and support for local products.

3rd and 4th batch of NC Takers Set Another 100% Record
Grade 12 learners of Jayobo Farm School have proven their ability and skills once more as they all passed the National Assessment II with the supervision of their teachers Ma’am Halem Latañafrancia and Sir Raden Lastimozo through the full support of Sir Russell Jancilan, Principal I.
The assessment was held in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.

Soil Media Mixing and Seedboxes Preparation
Grade 8- Carica of Jayobo Farm School underwent hands on learning with the supervision of their TLE Teacher, Ma'am Devorah Luiz.
After the preparations, they transplanted tomato seedlings in the garden plot following the recommended distance.

NIA R6 visits Jayobo Farm School
National Irrigation Administration Regional Office VI visited Jayobo Farm School dated August 05, 2024.
Division Manager in the Institutional Development Division, Ma’am Ruth Cely Jamelo and Engr. Jonnel B. Borres, Acting Regional Manager NIAR6 Concurrent Project Manager, NIA-JRMP II sent representatives namely: Ms. Cecilia C. Ang, Joy S. Cuevas, and Mr. Reymond Jamelo for a strong collaboration of the entities as they brought together the idea of withholding agricultural development.
The collaboration would be of big help and beneficial to all farmers, learners, teachers and the whole community as well.
