THE FALL FEASTS OF THE LORD

The three fall feasts are celebrated in the months of September and/or October.

The Feast of Trumpets is observed on the first day of the seventh month (biblical calendar) with the massive blowing of trumpets (Lev 23:23-25).

After ten days, the Day of Atonement is observed with a one day total fast (Lev 23:26-33).

Five days later the Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated for one week, rejoicing in the Lord and living in booths (Lev 23:33-43).

These three feasts become more meaningful for us today because it typifies end-time events leading to the consummation of redemption.

These fall Feasts give us an understanding of God’s redemptive plan in the last days before the second coming of Christ. They represent the three major steps leading to the consummation of Christ’s redemptive ministry: repentance, cleansing and rejoicing for the final restoration of all things.
