As the country welcomes the return of our champions in the field of sports, everyone is invited to take part of this momentous event as we celebrate Pinoy Pride!

In relation to this, a Hero's Welcome for Paris 2024 Philippine Olympians will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at 3PM with the following route

Parade start at Aliw Theater
Left to Roxas Boulevard
Right to Padre Burgos
Right to Finance Road
Right to Taft Avenue
Right to P. Quirino Avenue
Left to Adriatico Street
Going to Rizal Memorial Coliseum

Spectators may stay along the parade route to welcome our athletes as they raise the flag of our country. Motorists, however, are highly advised to take alternate route before and during the parade to avoid traffic.

I first want to say thank you to everyone who has followed, supported, and believed in me. 4th place is painful to say the least; and in sports with three podium places, perhaps 4th is the harshest place to be. I am heartbroken that a single failure cost me and cost a nation I so deeply love—the podium. I apologise for this outcome; such is life as the world of competitive sports can be exhilarating at times, and painful at others. I have experienced both and unfortunately today I am on the other side of it!

On a positive note I am proud of what I was actually able to stitch together for this Olympics, with all the struggles that came with this year; but still it hurts to be this close to an Olympic Medal.

As anyone can imagine the reality is still sinking in and I am processing the outcome.

I learned a long time ago to take one day at a time, and that’s exactly what I am going to do. Thank you again for your support and standing by me. I love you all, and we all share a common love and pride for the Philippines. Carlos Yulo has already made this an Olympics to remember and I salute him. I am sorry I didn’t join him on the podium but I will be back. “The good get up” as they say. I have been knocked down. But I will get back up.

BREAKING: Malacañang suspends government offices and classes in the National Capital Region on Tuesday, July 23, due to Southwest Monsoon and Typhoon "Carina."

Memorandum Circular No. 57 released by the Office of the President declares suspension starting 2PM today.

"Agencies with functions involving the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response yo disasters and calamities, and or the performance of other vital services" shall be exempted from the suspension and continue their operations, the memo states.

Private companies and offices' work suspension is left to their respective head's discretion.

The MMDA gives a flood update in various areas as of 11:58 a.m.

OPEN TO ALL BRGYRESIDENTS 💯
Requirements: JUST BRING VALID ID with Manila Address or Barangay Certificate.

What to Bring:
1. Original Senior Citizen ID (OSCA ID) only. (No Need for Photocopy)
2. Each Senior Citizen must have their own Working Mobile Number for receiving OTP as required by MRID Registration System.
3. Certified Bedridden Senior Citizens will have their own Home Visit Schedule.
4. Wear appropriately for Picture Taking (No Sando, Daster or House Dress).
5. All Senior Citizens are encouraged to register their MRID Applications as basis for their residency.

The purpose of the activity is to provide Identification for the constituents with prospective future benefits of crediting allowances for Senior Citizens, Person with Disability (PWD) and Students.
