Madalas maglinis ng kamay. Takpan ang ilong at bibig kung uubo at babahing.

‘INDEED, VACCINES WORK!’

A physician from Manila encouraged her patients and the public to get vaccinated when she got almost 2,000 U/mL of antibodies, weeks after being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

“Exactly six weeks after I received my second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine, I underwent a COVID 19 S-Antibody Quantitative Test using the ECLIA method. This test detects antibodies and quantifies if a vaccinated person has developed antibodies that can help “prevent” SARS-CoV 2 virus from entering the cells,” Dr. Ricamae Kessiah Manalo wrote on Facebook.

“I would like to share to my patients that my AstraZeneca shots induced my immune system to produce antibodies,” Manalo told The Philippine STAR.

She received her first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine last March 23, 2021 and her second dose on May 18, 2021.

But Manalo stressed that the public doesn’t need to undergo the same antibody testing that she had, saying that “it is not recommended for everybody.”

“I posted this to encourage my patients and other people po that all vaccines work po,” she pointed out.

We have many regions with new cases ( epicenters or hot spots ).

Very alarming sa Mindanao and Visayas

Nababahala ako.

The reason why I think the provinces outside of NCR have higher cases is that every time NCR goes into a hard lockdown, the informal settlers or other residents go back to their own provinces.

Balik probinsya Kasama ang virus at variants. Look at rapid spread. Variants Yan - it’s very clear !

Kaya Covid cases there will go up. Walang makain dito. Uwi na lang. Then our cases will ease up.
Luluwag dito.

That’s why the surge is recurrent - PAULIT ULIT . Vicious cycle .

It goes down in NCR, the informal settlers go home, it surges in the provinces.

When the provinces go into a hard lockdown but eases up in NCR, they will return here without PCR testing.

Because testing is ONE way only.

That is why I am not supportive with NCR easing up next week because the informal settlers will return.The lockdown should be all over the hotspots.

One time , big time.

We will see a rise in cases again in NCR in a month or two . Bababa ang cases in the provinces because of mobility back to NCR.

Paulit ulit na Lang. Pagod na Pinoy.

Recommendations :
1. Tighter quarantine MECQ or ECQ in epicenters or hotspots
2. Mass Testings
3. Build healthcare capacities per LGU
4. Rapid Vaccination program

We cannot keep shifting cases from region to region. The whole country needs to go into one total lockdown. For me, there should be no entry of people from the provinces now to NCR plus.

We can relax to GCQ on that condition. Walang papasok sa NCR muna.

This is not like the first surge where the cases were low. We have a higher baseline now. While we have vaccines also, only a minuscule has been fully immunized. 🥲

OCTA is concentrating on vaccinating the NCR plus 8. But that won’t work until 3 months later.

In the meantime, there should be no local movement except for essential goods and travel. Everything nonessential should be put on hold. The tourism should be stimulated on a regional level muna.
